I’m truly shocked at the UK’s potholes - seems I’m not alone! IAM RoadSmart’s director of policy, Nicholas Lyes, said: “….We need a long-term approach that invests in proper surface maintenance, rather than the all too often ‘patch and dash’ repairs that crumble at the first sign of bad weather.”

Very useful to attend the #Southwark Homeowners Conference 2026. Leaseholders are beyond frustrated, many are furious.

It’s an excellent forum for knowledge sharing & collaboration, plus pushing for real solutions to the mess many leaseholders face here.

Hats off to the organising team.

The updates from national campaigners, local activists and legal experts on leasehold reform have been particularly interesting and valuable. As a leaseholder myself, I’m fully on board with the need to replace this arcane feudalistic nightmare with a much fairer system.

Phone snatching is an epidemic across London - but Southwark hosts some of the worst hotspots in the capital.

Liberal Democrats have a plan to tackle crime and ASB in Southwark - double community safety wardens, invest in CCTV, and give our young people more opportunities.

The right to a fair trial is one of our most fundamental freedoms. I’m deeply concerned by the Labour government’s plans to curtail it. It was not in Labour’s 2024 manifesto & is the wrong way to tackle court backlogs. The LibDems will always stand up for civil liberties.
