Since you mentioned Prince of Wolves, I finally tracked down my (missing from my shelf) copy! It's next on my TBR stack for a reread.

Nothing proves how capitalism has brain rotted everyone than thinking the post office, hospitals, public transit, libraries, etc. need to turn a profit to be worthwhile.
My experience of the Trump regime has been similar: It feels like part of my brain has been on "stand-by" for the past ten years, just waiting for it to all be over so I can resume focusing on other things. I wonder sometimes if I will ever be able to do so again. (2/2)
I find having scheduled meetings or events, as opposed to a flowing to-do list that may include responding to messages or emails, really disruptive to my day, making it hard to get going or to focus on other things because a part of my brain feels on "stand-by" waiting for the event to happen. (1/2)
The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. comes to mind.
Congrats!
Congrats to all the Aurora nominees!

Two hooded figures with lamps approach a moonlit, isolated cottage. A woman answers the door. We have come for the child, says the hooded figure So soon? she asks It is time, says the hooded figure. The woman is distraught. We should never have got him a library card! What is done cannot be undone, says the hooded figure We couldn’t see the harm! We just wanted him to enjoy reading! For most, it ends there, says the hooded figure, turning away and walking into the wilderness Oh lord, What have I done! says the woman, the child walks past her and out into the darkness with them. Do not cry mother. I am a writer now.

Happy 80th birthday to Tim Curry who has always, *always* understood the assignment.
A three panel meme (using the Spiderman format of Peter and Harry talking) In the first panel petersyas "I hate ai and I refuse to use it" Harry responds saying "Peter, if you don't use Ai a bunch of super rich men will lose alot of money" Finally Peter responds "I already said I hated ai Harry, you don't need to sell it to me"
Whenever I hear people say I g I need to adapt or die I think I'll take the third option and kill it off
That bubble is gonna burst someday and I'm gonna have my integrity & morals intact
Sword & Sorcery is when the soft animal of your body has to slay a fucking necromancer.
A flatscreen display on a "smart" water fountain, demanding to be reconnected to the internet.
In 1999, I was playing a decker in Shadowrun, and tried to distract a guard by hacking a water fountain to overflow, and my GM said "why would a water fountain be on the network? That's fucking stupid. No you can't try."
Well it's 2026 and I just want you to know, Phil, that I FUCKING CALLED IT!
That looks great!
I am pleased to announce that Bastion of Hope will be releasing on April 28th on DriveThruRPG, itch.io, and Heart of Daggers!

Making It & Breaking It: Navigating A Career in Writing kicks off at 5 PM EST.
Come for the discussion on surviving safely in the industry. Or to find out what I, gender dysphoric and thus camera averse, actually look like. :p
Ladies and gentlemen... the weekend. (also: you are important and are not alone 🧡)
Sure is!
My god, this is incredible.
Glad to hear it worked out for you!
Congrats! Sounds like a good read!
