Something I haven't found a place for in a fic yet is that I like to imagine that Challia having a personal tie with Dozle may have influenced his position as a deep space officer, such as Dozle advocating for his leadership skills or perhaps Dozle wanting his friend far from his scheming siblings..

Yeah, reconciling canon and its various inconsistencies aside, this kind of stuff I tend to frame as more or less interpretable as mainline UC or GQX or both, maybe, who knows!! It does obviously nod to the ORIGIN too, but it I do think of it as different tbh.
