Finally! Getting around to posting some belated photos from Antietam Institute Fall Conference. It was an especially informative event, and we got to tour many farms and homes that are still privately owned while learning about civilians and afternoon.

Just a few more days of this special photography exhibit displayed at Clara Barton Missing Soldiers Office.

You'll see almost life-size images of Civil War nurses, read their stories, and walk through an incredibly historic place.

I'm liking these US Postage Stamps featuring American Revolution battles and how the collection is telling a story between the paintings and the modern views of the battlefield sites.

Watching a storm roll in, counting the distance between the lightning strikes and me, and feeling very conscious of the open fields. I did (safely) beat the storm as I raced through a trail scouting visit at Antietam Battlefield.

Yeah...I know John Pelham didn't make it to the Battle of Gettysburg, but his cannons (the Stuart Horse Artillery) were on East Cavalry Field on July 3, 1863.
