When I saw two pundits predict that the Penguins would be in the finals, my first thought was "They're gonna get swept, aren't they?"

I stopped watching when it went into the 3rd. I wish I hadn't lol
Final timing for this #Wrestlemania: approx 1 hour and 25 minutes of a 3 and a half hour show was spent in-ring. If I generously round up, we're looking at about 2 hours and 51 minutes over the course of 7 hours and 30 minutes of show time. 5 hours over 2 days of anything but wrestling.
I posted this almost 90 minutes ago, and since the #Wrestlemania Wikipedia hadn't updated since then, I thought maybe the main event became an hour-long watch that might be worth hearing Simon Miller's review about, but it only went for 34 minutes. 34 minutes of action in the final 90 minutes.
Seriously, just reading the Wikipedia is painful, I can’t imagine watching it is any better. They are doing slightly better tonight though. 2 hours in and there has been 41 minutes of in-ring action. Still abysmal.
I’ve only watched one or two whole NHL regular season games this year because the reffing is just so bad, and after 1.5 playoff games this weekend, I think I’m done again. Every game reminds me of when the NFL had non-union refs. Or the Mighty Ducks movies.
Might be a boring pick but it’s Kenny for me. Punk got me back into wrestling with his original pipebomb promo, but Kenny widened my scope of where to watch, and his style was what I never knew I needed. Plus he’s from my home province
The powers that be have picked a winner
Wait I added it incorrectly. 1 hour and 12 minutes was wrestling. Imagine spending hundreds if not thousands of dollars on tickets, hotel, travel, etc., to watch a commercial.
Show is over, according to the Wikipedia, and 4 hours of #Wrestlemania gave people about an hour and 22 minutes of wrestling. All mania, no wrestle. About 1/4 of the show was wrestling, 3/4 filler. #AEWDynasty was the same length and only 1/4 was filler.
Okay time for some #AEW #WWE PPV math. #Wrestlemania has been on for 3 hours now. There has been just under 50 minutes of wrestling so far. AEW held #AEWDynasty last week, and the preshow alone had almost 30 minutes of wrestling. The main card? 2 hours and 56 minutes of wrestling in a 4 hour show.
Oh looks like another match just ended. Less than SEVEN MINUTES. For a world title match! 50 minutes of matches in 3 HOURS. Refreshing the PPV’s Wikipedia has to be almost as painful as watching the show itself.
I was just looking at the match times (43 minutes so far) and thought, oh that’s not bad for them if it started at 7, compared to past events. It started at 6! Less than 1/3 of the time has been spent in matches! I haven’t watched WWE in 10+ years for many reasons, and this is a huge one!
Seeing QT actually coaching them was neat, I assumed it was mostly kayfabe at the time. But there was a NJPW event that weekend and they were watching matches together and breaking down the spots. Somehow I was completely chill being that close to Tay lol maybe because it was 6 am
He was walking around with the biggest headphones I’ve ever seen and the shortest shorts lol with legs like that, I don’t blame him
Sorry for the random comments lol. A few years ago we were flying out of Dallas and we were there at the same time as AEW. He is MASSIVE. QT Marshall was coaching him and Aaron Solo at an airport IHOP. Tay Melo and Sammy were super cute. And Max Caster’s legs are surprisingly huge lol
He often performs at a local indie’s events, and all of the other wrestlers sneak out to watch him go. Plus his music is always fantastic
You sure we don’t need a former football player that wasn’t anything special/former commentator that was only known for being loud but not good?
Part of what I’ve enjoyed these past two seasons is just how fun these guys are to watch. I want them to win, I want them to have their dreams come true. But I’ve also been so happy just watching them have fun, and become better people and players. This isn’t Toronto, I’m not planning parades yet
I skipped the first half of it, but then the crowd was chanting “this is awesome” so I went back to the start and I was really impressed! Plus it helped me skip some commercials later lol
I still miss Dark and Dari Elevation. Just a bunch of random guys and then Kenny Omega shows up one time to make someone like Angelico look like a star. But the best was the commentary. Just Taz riffing with Excalibur or Matt Menard or Mark Henry; them laughing and singing along to the entrances
This is how I found out that Ricochet won? Guess I gotta go back and watch it? I muted the stream and did some programming homework because that’s more exciting than a Jericho match
See? He’s not having sex with couches, he’s getting stuck in them like spare change
I was worried a few years ago because they kept signing every company’s main eventers and former world champions, and it would crowd the world title picture, but instead it’s just produced banger after banger, even if it’s only for bragging rights. It’s probably why there are 500 belts though
I think Simon Miller can be entertaining, but he complains about it every PPV, and it annoys me every time. He’d also complain if it was 3 hours with 2-4 matches like a WWE show.
Yeah sadly. Habs have fewer regulation wins than those teams so they lose the tie-break if there is one. Looks like both teams each have games against one team much lower in the standings, and one that theoretically would be tougher. Habs will have their hands full in Philly
I’m so sleepy that I only have one eye open and I read this as Cheech and Chong
Probably not what you’re thinking but the major cereal brands have made doughnut cereal
“Hyuck a grenade over there, Max!”
First he started with the cheap pops and I was really annoyed to see him back. Then he called out his own shit and I was less mad. Then the bald jokes almost had me mute the tab, but by the end it was.. okay? Not enough for me to get excited about a Jericho match, but I might not leave the room?
