5- Be patient and disciplined
For Carolina Bazante, who founded Lupa Media and has played the flute since she was nine, βjournalism requires the patience and discipline of a musician, and media entrepreneurship needs twice as much.β
4- Use AI as an addition to your staff
Lupa Media has been using AI since the beginning as editorial support, training tools as guides to work with. For them itβs a resource, a tool, and an assistant, not a replacement.
3- Think about what you post
They focus on social media because thatβs where the interaction is. They make sure that the stories they post will be the most important for their audience to think about.
2- Combine verification with media literacy
They teach children, teenagers, university students, journalists, community leaders, and people over 60, how to fact-check for themselves.
1- Respond to a real societal need
Lupa Media was born from a clear gap: Ecuador needed independent verification during a moment of rising violence and disinformation.
