Launch day copies of Super Mario 64 DS contain glitches that were fixed in later production runs. One of them is the Yoshi Squish Crash, caused by eating a Boo in water. The next time Yoshi attempts to lick, he will squish humorously, and the game will crash.

In Super Mario 64, lighting is tied to the *camera* instead of the environment. As such, areas behind the camera are not only empty (due to not rendering objects) but also dark, creating an eerie atmosphere when Mario is not looking.

In the prototype version of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, the Inklings were known simply as "Girl" and "Boy". This was likely changed in the release version for the benefit of players unfamiliar with Splatoon, who could have believed these are simply particularly strange human children.
