That money will fuel a 6T tax cut for the ultra wealthy, the Marie Antoinette moment for the US, the largest transfer of wealth from the bottom to the top in World history.

He will take bribes via Truth Social stock or Trump Coin or, what does he care, suitcase full of gold to give individual corporation tariff exceptions.

Exactly, you forgot the skim off the top for himself tho

I think it's to raise government revenues for the inevitable budget reconciliation so they can give $T to the oligarchs.

They simply cannot cut enough "waste" so they resort to a tax.

Trump tariffs are just a way to tax the whole population, all that revenue goes into the US Government coffers and then come budget resolution time, all gets used to fund the largest billionair welfare check (tax cut) in history.

Electronic counting is fine. Having an audit trail is important but the biggest benefit we have is a non-political independent agency running elections, Elections Canada.

Stating the obvious, but not all Canadians participate and therefore benefit the same in the economy.

However, I tend to be verbose but felt it important to add.

Carney has a PhD. in Economics. He ran the Bank of Canada and was governor of the Bank of England, and I have no doubt & believe he would benefit the Canadian economy.

I hope he remembers that Canada is not just an economy. It's the people, and people need progress as much as financial stability.

I don't think that was to appease Trump. That was his own shitty decision.

He looks so beaten down, I love that for him.

Even if you do, he will just keep asking for more and keep applying tariffs. We don't negotiate with terrorists.

I hate when the people who prepared this info graphic (not the onion person) left the 40B spent to purchase the largest social media and news distribution site in the world to depress liberal views and amplify republican propaganda.

Elon spent 40.25B to buy the United States

The US has locked people up in foreign prisons without a trial.

I believe anything is possible at this point.

They only care if it impacts them directly.

John McCain is a good example. Not an evil person. He voted no on repealing Obama care (Affordable Care Act) because he personally went through cancer treatment for brain cancer. He had to personally experience it.

I get why they don't. Let's say you post something controversial like "I like pancakes" and it gets 100k reposts by pancake lovers but then you change it to "I like waffles" the post is still shared and out there and the pancake people might not want to be tied to waffles.
