What is going on @sierraclub.org in Colorado? This unelected temporary board voted to dissolve the 30-year-strong Poudre Canyon Group, knew before even meeting that the vote would be unanimous, & seemingly did it to meddle in a Fort Collins city council election? www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_Ur...

And like I said, I never said “make it illegal,” I’m suggesting that people in the area advocate for different approach than developer interests for THEIR OWN interests.

The pro-developer YIMBY movement is most certainly NOT local—it is a pro-developer movement happening all over the US & globally.

But to be clear, who said “make it illegal?” Certainly not me. I’m saying there should be alternative approaches, like prioritizing a person’s right to a primary home, and taxing properties beyond that.

A big contributor to the housing problem is pricing being driven up by real estate being a good investment for the wealthy. Simply building more homes won’t fix this, bc real estate = a good place to park & grow $. Also, water scarce places in the U.S will eventually run out of water for all units.

You don’t need more homes. You need Wall Street & investors to stop buying all the real estate. Every region in the U.S. from Kentucky to IA to Washington state is saying they need to build more homes, yet schools are closing from lack of children & population decline. Who does Build-Build benefit?

President Trump’s FY26 budget for #NSF will slash funding for the agency by 56.9% and funding for Social, Behavioral, and Economic sciences by 67.6%

These cuts will end US STEM leadership, weaken national security, and set-back individual prosperity and well-being.
