Amazon, which saved $4B in taxes under Trump's Big Ugly Bill, has cut 30,000 jobs since last October.

Verizon, which saved $2B, plans to cut 15,000 jobs this year.

Meta, which saved $3B, plans to lay off 20% or more of its workforce.

Trickle-down economics is a cruel joke.

If your main concern about a video game is whether or not it’s “woke”, I’ve got news for you…

…you’re not a real gamer. You’re just a clown looking for a problem where there isn’t one. An excuse to be outraged over your hatred while hiding it behind a poorly disguised excuse.

How Paris swapped cars for bikes – and transformed its streets Under outgoing mayor Anne Hidalgo, the French capital added bike lanes, cut traffic and reclaimed public space, but not without resistance

“Paris has embarked on a grand transformation, planting 155k trees, adding hundreds of kms of bike lanes, pedestrianising 300 school streets and banning cars from the banks of the Seine. Parking has been turned into green space…Fewer parents fear their child being run over when they walk to school.”

We've subsidised oil companies for decades as we "need" their products to run society, but now we dont, we need to use those same subsidies for heat pumps, EV's, solar panels, turbines, bio mass what ever else we can use to generate electric, it's only fair, we'd get to "net 0" real fast that way.

Lasers were a huge scientific breakthrough and now we use them to play with cats. Computers were also a huge scientific breakthrough and now we use them to look at pictures of cats. In other words, science was made for cats.

We have a golden opportunity right now to gradually get off oil.
If there was ever a reason to, it's now. Look. They're driving everyone to the poor house. (no pun).

We have the alternatives. We just need the will.
Demand the change we need.

People talk about “public transit” like it’s some abstract policy debate, but it’s literally the difference between someone getting to work or losing their job. A bus that runs on time isn’t a luxury. It’s dignity, mobility, and a shot at stability.

Trump is calling for a record $1.5T defense budget.

Roughly half of this spending will go to private contractors, many of whom routinely price-gouge the government.

Reminder that Don Jr. and Eric Trump are big investors in drone companies looking to obtain defense contracts.

See the problem?

Belgian commutes pay off: Employees earn up to €810 for cycling to work One in five people in Flanders commuted by bike and received compensation last year, but this figure is significantly lower in Brussels and Wallonia.

In Belgium, employees receive compensation for every kilometre they ride, with some cyclists earning up to €810 per year.

And why not? Biking saves public money for everyone.

“All employees in Belgium who cycle to work are entitled to a bicycle allowance of €0.28 per kilometre of their commute.”

While I’ve only actually lived at 3 different addresses in my nearly 4 decades (two single detached homes and one condo) none of them had gas and all were 100% electric appliances (excluding the shared building heating in the condo, but everything in my unit/off my panel is 100% electric)

The internet wasn't a mistake.

It saved lives. It's allowed community. It's one of the best advancements in modern history for information.

The mistake was normalizing rampant cruelty and dunk culture and protecting predators and harassers over victims.
