Exactly. They only want more evidence to disprove something they don't want to do.
He is apologizing to try and gain viewers. Its a stunt
Imagine if Biden did this. There would be mass cries of socialism.
Instead of actually acknowledging that the economy isn't perfect or the best economy ever and show some empathy. But all of the above is the antithesis of who Piggy is and Rs are going to pay for it in November.
I am no fan of Piggy, but he hasn't totally fucked it up royally YET. However, if you ask most people who are middle class or below, things are worse for them. And it sucks for Rs, but great for Ds, that Piggy is doing the same thing Biden tried to do by saying everything is great.
Lutnick is on the list.
You need to amend the Constitution. So in other words, won't happen.
Congress' role in any election as set forth by the Constitution is to set standards, but election administration is done by the states. You have a point that SCOTUS may strike this down, although such a law would not interfere with the administration of elections on the state level.
Yes, its horrible that the Democrats are fighting back. Wish they would do more of this, even if it means stooping to lower levels to fight back.
Well lying to Congress is a crime. But yes, its worthless because this DOJ wouldn't prosecute him for it.
If he has nothing to hide, he should have no problem answering this questionnaire.
Kind of funny in a way, since Hoover had a policy against drinking on duty and expecting the FBI to portray a certain professional image, which Patel couldn't even come close to meeting if he worked at the FBI during Hoover's days.
Not every court is filled with a Trump hack.
Apparently his base still thinks there are too many brown people in this country.
The majority could agree on maps that basically give the minority zero opportunity to be represented and be disenfranchised. As I have said elsewhere, maps should be drawn by independent commissions and not voted on or drawn by legislators.
Tyranny of the majority is whenever anything is decided by the majority. We have checks in our system to prevent this from happening all the time. It usually involves the courts putting the check on things. But in this instance, letting the people decide risks oppressing the minority.
The EC came about as a compromise between states' rights and letting the people decide.
Where do you get that from my comment? I ripped letting state legislators decide.
Yes, and they should have been bringing this up again when the Republicans were talking about the SAVE act.
"We can start with ending partisan gerrymandering." And then they could have put forward other ideas while Republicans are talking about SAVE. But as usual, Democrats suck at messaging. It has nothing to do with who controls what. It has to do with messaging.
Nowhere did I say don't do this in Virginia. What I said is that the Democrats have missed an opportunity to highlight Gerrymandering as a problem. My point is that the Democrats should have been saying to the Republicans "Okay, you think our elections are screwed up. Here is what we want."
Apparently you missed my point about amending the Constitution and that won't happen. So you can push for this, but you have to be a realist.
The problem with putting everything to a vote is that the majority can stomp on the rights on the minority. That's where courts come in. This was better than having state legislators decide, but its still not something I like. Its the lesser of two evils.
What makes you think it would be struck down? The Democrats tried this and didn't have the votes.
Yeah, there are some awful gerrymanders on both sides. I get so tired of Rs pointing to the D gerrymanders to somehow justify their gerrymanders.
Stop putting money into a 401K? No, you should do that regardless. If you mean stop investing your 401K in the market, fine.
