I am so sick and tired of giving suspicious weirdos from servers randomly DMing me the benefit of a doubt. On one hand, I've had good experiences with people going "hey I like your freaky monster lady comm :)". But I didn't have the emotional energy to deduce this latest stranger's true intent.
This would be pretty ironic for me considering that most of the TTRPGs I run don't have classes.
I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.

I'm begging any artists still using Twitter claiming it's integral to their work to just leave. It's been revealed the site works off a made up "credit score" from hell and punishes you for posting like a normal human being.
