My focus is practical, sustainable improvement - not writing a report and disappearing.

What’s the point? Creating a future-facing geography curriculum

What’s the point of geography?

I’ve been trying to answer this more precisely. Not in terms of content, but in terms of what geography allows pupils to do.

This was the focus of my @geographicalassoc.bsky.social conference talk.

It's a book i go back to a lot. I find that a lot with @dj-acid-reflux.bsky.social work.

I got this book from local library, and then got a copy to own because it's in for the intensive "how did he DO that" reread. There are some beautiful things going on with time, place, and point-of-view that I need to understand both as reader (for pleasure) and writer (for work)

Just up to Winskill Rocks - just outside Settle. Beautiful areas of limestone paving up there and views of the 3 peaks.
