I think they called it MSP - Medical Service Plan. I pulled out my BC Health Card - the monthly charge was around $50/mo. This was back in '07 - '14 though. I believe they have increased the monthly fee but no longer charge children until they're older? Maybe someone in BC could follow up? Thx!

The '80s were a weird time. I used to argue over Dr's but now - I only care if it's a BBC Dr or a Disney sellout.

So glad I had my son in Canada!! And my birth cost the same as my monthly health service plan like any other month - around $50/mo. Taking a job in Canada was one of the best decisions of my life. Moving back to the US - not so much...
