If you are at NOAA or any other federal agency and work on anything related to climate, I want to securely connect. You can reach me through Signal here:

NEW: NOAA has now backed off a plan to defer maintenance to the satellites that form the backbone of the nation's weather prediction system. The $13 billion satellite program will now be managed rather than fixed after problems emerge.

Potentially tornadic storm moving right over the Paducah KY radar and NWS office. Hoping it’s not producing. Folks, the staff there deserve all the love regardless. They have worked multiple tornado events this spring already and their office doesn’t even have functioning toilets!

This is such garbage. I’m sorry. Please know so many of us appreciate your work, your wife’s work and everything everyone involved in the weather community does for the general public in an official capacity or otherwise.

The human cost to this will be enormous. Devastating.

Chappell Roan setting her Grammy down on the stage so she could, rightly so, flip the page in her journal and continue to rip on record labels, while wearing a bedsheet and a princess hat was the most based thing ever.

On the left is my disappointed dad. On the right Canada’s disappointed dad.

I know things are crappy right now. I need to point out, however, that every disappointed Canadian dad looks the same.

Weather: Ice
Aircraft type: DC-3
Fatalities: 0
After deicing they ended up delayed on departure, ice built up on the wings. Struggling to become air born they crashed (gently) into a house. Coming down through the attic and out the front doors, our pilot flying earned the nickname Rooftop Johnson.
