Amazing!
Sounds great! It’s getting bumped up the list for sure.
Excellent, thank you - there are a bunch there that I’m definitely looking forward to getting to eventually! Keep Driving in particular looks really intriguing.
I had a lot of fun discussing my favourite games of 2025 with Tom, and hope you enjoy listening too!
There was so much variety this year that it was really difficult to whittle down from my shortlist of 15. Although some of these didn't make the podcast I highly recommend all of these!
They’re both very much worth your time! Hope you enjoy when you do manage to get to them.
Is there anything we might have missed from 2025 that you would recommend?
This was a fun one to record! As ever, any word of mouth / sharing is very much appreciated.
Apologies for the short hiatus towards the end of the year; we’re refreshed and ready to hit the ground running again in 2026!

Do I have any followers (or mutuals) who consider themselves a Hollow Knight speedrunner, or proficient with the lore of the game? I'd like to talk to two people on these subjects for an episode of Dialogue Tree. Hit me up if that’s you and you're interested!
“Oh no. It’s Wednesday. I can’t stand Wednesdays. There’s nothing good that can possibly happen today.”

Our pleasure! Thanks so much for listening; it means a lot.
Spice up your lunchtime with Episode 51! Unless you don’t see this until after lunch, I guess. Probably haven’t thought that through properly.
We talk through Week 3’s games from Playdate Season 2:

This was excellent.
Also, that’s a hell of a way to make a book recommendation! I’ve had two or three Murakami books on my shelf for a good while, including that one, and haven’t got to them yet. Must try and rectify that soon.
Thank you! I was pretty astounded that he was up for it given the attention the game got. I guess it just goes to show that it’s worth asking the question sometimes.
I hope you enjoy it; thanks for taking a listen.
Unbelievably, he actually came on the podcast. He was incredibly generous with his time and gave great answers to my bumbling questions, which I’ll be forever grateful for.
It starts at just after 15 mins into Episode 9 - I’ll put the Spotify link below:

@dialoguetree.cc Incredibly excited to see what’s just dropped into Pocket Casts. Her Story was so impressive to me, and I was lucky enough to interview Sam Barlow at the time which was a thrill. Can’t wait to hear your take.
Also, Bo went straight on my wishlist after last week’s episode.
Oh man, yes. I remember hearing Green Grass of Tunnel for the first time and excitedly buying the album but thinking it couldn’t possibly live up to it. Wrong!
Hi! I actually haven’t explored a great deal outside of the two seasons so far, but I’m fairly sure @mwjimmy.bsky.social has. Any recommendations, Paul?
Ah, I see! It’s a fascinating thing really. I have been continually surprised and delighted by the different ideas devs have come up with. They’re not always classics, but almost always interesting at the very least.
Oh nice, I take it you have one? What do you think of S2 so far?
We celebrate Episode 50 by cracking open the Playdate and seeing what the first few games of Season 2 have to offer.
(Spoiler: they’re pretty great.)
• Blippo+
• Fulcrum Defender
• Dig! Dig! Dino!
• Wheelsprung

TOEM 2
@swmgames.bsky.social showed off more of the sequel to a game we had only positive things to say about a few episodes back. We’ll be there for this one.

ARC Raiders
Embark Studios gave up the release date for a long-awaited game that has gone through significant changes over the years since the initial reveal. That aesthetic still looks striking, so it’ll be interesting to see how it is received come October.
