Up late thinkin bout the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum heist, as one does.

Whoever has Rembrandt's "The Storm on the Sea of Galilee" right now is also in the Epstein Files, I bet you anything.

WILLIAM BLAKE VS THE WORLD by John Higgs

WILLIAM BLAKE VS THE WORLD by John Higgs

Also this is a good book:

Reading about William Blake's use of the mythical land of "Beulah," a name he got from Bunyan, and now I'm wondering if @stephenking.bsky.social was drawing from the same well with Booyah Moon in LISEY'S STORY.

13. You want to surround yourself with people who support you. However, YOU also have to support people. If you don’t have favorite writers/podcasters/etc. then you’re failing yourself and setting yourself up for failure. How are you going to learn in a vacuum of your own content? πŸ•΅πŸΎβ€β™€οΈ

Quick Q: Do I know anyone who either shoots video interviews in Vancouver, or does anyone know someone who shoots video in Vancouver and maybe even has a location? Shares would be HUGELY appreciated - this is for a doc project.

Thanks, all!

a man in a plaid shirt says settle down over there or i 'm gonna come talk to ya .. ALT: a man in a plaid shirt says settle down over there or i 'm gonna come talk to ya ..

Not posting this as some tough guy I'm Making an Example of You thing. I'm posting it because I hate fighting with people online, and this guy needed to argue with me so bad he had to come back while I'm trying to relax at night with my wife.

We're not doin that.

I hate fighting with people online. The Block and Mute buttons are my friends. It's never worth it.

But this guy tried me this morning, I ignored him, then an hour ago he came back and dared to call me stupid enough to think you're not allowed to criticize art.

That's shitty on several levels.

I genuinely don't think he read it until I asked him a few minutes ago because there was like a 15-minute lull in his replies.

Dude, you came over here, OK? You said what you had to say this morning and you apparently wanted this fight so bad you had to come bother me 12 hours later.

"Good night and good luck" was my polite attempt at a sign off, but since that didn't work.

GO THE FUCK AWAY, YOU ABSOLUTE BELLEND.

12 full hours this dude's been itching to pick this fight.

Whatever you say, Champ.

You think that I, a respected professional film and book critic with almost two decades in the game, wrote all of that to say you're not allowed to criticize things?

That's what you got?

Man, good night and good luck.

Did you read the piece or did you make up your mind based on the headline?

What on earth are you talking about?

19 hours ago 0 0 0 0

OK so you decided to lecture me this morning and I ignored you and now you're back so who's really riled up here, huh?

Y'know what? I'mma share this one more time. Might print it out and staple it to my shirt for a few days too.

Remember Prince Like This At Webster Hall, the veil between Prince and us came down and the Purple One reveled in the closeness of his audience.

Ten years since we lost Prince. A brief reflection from me at @popheist.com:

On 'The Pitt' Season 2's Finale: The Story Owes You Nothing When we're too obsessed with plot and not obsessed enough with story, we risk losing whatever substance mass-produced media has left.

The wild reaction and incessant fan demands surrounding THE PITT Season 2 got me riled up, so I decided to take to @popheist.com and use this particular fandom moment to make a very important point about fiction.

The Story Owes You Nothing.
