A lie is an abomination unto the Lord.
But a very present help in time of trouble.

'And he take it and break it, saying, oh, bollocks I've broken it.'

'If it was the right thing to do, we'd have done it years ago. We didn't do it years ago, so it can't have been the right thing to do.'

Once you've left it too late, it becomes impossible to change your mind. That means admitting we were wrong all along. Too hard for politicians to do.

Just guessing - no evidence. But it's just like a new ghost writer is winding us up to distract us from something.

He is getting us all wound up - or somebody is doing it on his behalf. What's he distracting us from?

Well, truth is the first casualty in any war, so you are right to be sceptical. But the figures have been broadly backed up by, for example, British Intelligence. I trust Ukraine to report fairly honestly.
These number are for soldiers seriously injured as well as those killed.

Not sure I follow. Is the point here that DOJ counsel regularly submit lazily repetitive copied arguments, but when counsel for a detainee does the same, they are threatened with disciplinary action?

Amazing how his inept clowning always results in the results his backers wanted.

Somebody in the Home Office watches Russia Today, or something, and is completely convinced that the British electorate are interested in one thing only - beastly brutality to foreigners wanting to move to our country. Unless they are obscenely rich foreigners.

You'd think he was a petulant childish moron. Except destroying NATO is the perfect outcome for Russia.

That and the insane demand for an immediate and unconditional surrender. That's a big tell, too.

Except he's a habitual liar. This means he's probably out of ammo. Why else would he be talking about it?

Again and again, they idolise toughness. You won't get elected if you promise to get smart about a problem. But promise to get tough, and you can do no wrong.

Has there been any suggestion that Tony Blair was compromised by Epstein or a similar operation? It would explain some stuff....

Most organisations can't afford to have principles. But they do have a need to be on the winning side when it wins. Has the NYT changing sides? A good sign if true.

Turn up with something NOT in their catalogue (long covid?) and they go into an endless cycle of fending you off by sending you for pointless tests.Turn up with something NOT in their catalogue (long covid?) and they go into an endless cycle of fending you off by sending you for pointless tests.

From conversations with friends, it very much depends what's wrong with you. My recent complaints (prostate cancer, atrial flutter) are in their catalogue. They know which conveyor belt to put you on, and you are usually whizzing through the system within 24 hours.

It's reflexive control. Somebody's got the government believing that vicious cruelty to migrants is vital - the electorate will not tolerate anything else. It's bollocks, of course. But it's universally believed among Westminster politicians. We need to know why!

Well, critic no. 1 would have been God Almighty. Four thousand years setting up his plan to redeem mankind with the death of his Son, and Trump derails the whole scheme.. what an arse.

But why do the BBC stoke the 'small boats' fire in every bulletin?

8 months ago 0 0 0 0

Why does the BBC think the small boat crossings deserve to be a scary headline in three out of four news bulletins? Why do they never analyse this situation in any depth?

Well, the world got weirdly scary, didn't it.

Million casualties, not necessarily dead. Most are seriously injured. Nobody outside the Russian military command knows the real numbers, but I saw somewhere that they had issued 300,000 death certificates.

And yet the Russian spokesperson described the Ukrainian raid as 'terrorist'.

What IS absurd is everyone going into orgasms of praise and adulation for a man who just behaved like an inspectacularly decent human being, instead of being a corrupt and arrogant prick like most of his predecessors.
