I can’t say enough good things about Predator Badlands. It was filled with action and was only 1hr and 40mins runtime. Soundtrack is incredible. Not a traditional Predator flick, but it was super fun and silly and I love them experimenting with the IP in this way. Hope they make a sequel!
NEW: 2020 footage said to be in 2025. A neighbor who keeps reappearing in the same clip, said to be on different days & months. A broadcast from elsewhere suggested as Portland.

It certainly was wild. In his defense, he was never the same after breaking his leg. I think he was a better player when he was larger, heavier but his body couldn’t take it and he couldn’t stay on the floor. I feel like after the leg he got permanent yips around the basket
Citing a Trump executive order banning "gender ideology," the VA is withholding coverage and treatment for male veterans with breast cancer, an increasing condition among veterans exposed to toxic chemicals during service. 100 male veterans a year are diagnosed with breast cancer.

The poster for “The Alabama Solution,” a new HBO Originals documentary about injustices inside the Alabama prison system. Much of it was filmed on contraband cell phones by inmates. The poster says “The truth from the inside out” and it shows a Black man filming on an iPhone from inside cell bars.
This new doc on HBO is about the appalling conditions, state violence, and corruption inside Alabama prisons. A lot of it was filmed by men inside on contraband cell phones. Highly highly recommend
Cam Newton vs the Alabama A&M Bulldog
I know that the cruelty is the point for AL politicians, but the forced labor and starvation of inmates who refuse to work is well beyond cruel and unusual punishment. This is inhumane to the point of barbarity. The people running these places purport to be Christian? Disgusting.
The Alabama Solution documentary was so horrifying. The dehumanization in AL is staggering. Feds want troops in PDX? Portland had 71 total homicides in 2024. Alabama prisons alone had 277 deaths in 2024 and 105 of them are “unknown causes” or are suspicious/under investigation. Insanity.
EJ: "Aaron Gordon has made 10 3-pointers tonight tying Terry Rozier in 2020 for the most in a season opener in NBA history. I kid you not"
Weapons, the horror/thriller movie from writer/director Zach Cregger is finally going to be available to stream, just ahead of Halloween.

Awful. Just brutal.

Joyeux fête 🇫🇷
Was not prepared for how good Bring Them Down was going to be. It’s a 2024 film but easily the best thing I’ve seen in 2025.
“I don’t need a vaccine,” said one West Texas man. “I don’t get sick.”
“It’s measles. It’s been around forever,” said another woman. “I don’t think it’s a big deal.”
From our April story:
Finally got around to seeing Didi. That movie was tremendous but it also crushed me 😩
