A Macintosh Performa 410 (a cost reduced variant of the LC-2) computer sits on a desk at a WCC show. The computer itself is a "pizza box" format, a thin flat slab of deeply yellowed plastic with a single floppy disk drive port on the front. It's playing the game "Dark Castle" on a mismatched LCD screen.
From the #Marchintosh show in Green Bay today, the fantastic Mr. Moran was able to fix whatever was wrong with the hard drive on this early 90's Macintosh Performa 410 (an even cheaper variant of the Mac LC-2) and got it working! Dark Castle rocks!

I mean, I think everyone's gonna be hurting. It would really surprise me if both the base cost of games and consoles for both Sony and Nintendo don't climb over the next few years.
That being said, Xbox had made so many mistakes, they had no more rope.
Man, I'm sorry, I got burned on OG Xbox DLC, GFWL, Wii eShop, etc. It's never fun.
Fair enough, my suggestion would be continue to play what you have, but read the tea leaves before you invest heavily in any of them.

To be fair, Sony is making more money than Nintendo, despite their terrible decisions, Xbox on the other hand... well I dunno what to say that hasn't already been said.
It's no worse than "599 US Dollars!"
Is it worth it for them to continue to produce hardware though? At the current falloff rate, Their next console would sell Vita/Wii-U numbers. The cost of getting a console out there, marketing it, etc. is not cheap, we are likely talking billions just to do it... and for that little of an audience?

To break it down, I do not believe they will stay in hardware. I think they will also continue the yearly mass layoffs, and focus on fewer, but higher revenue generating games/IPs (Call of Duty, MineCraft, Elder Scrolls, Fallout, World of Warcraft, etc.) and companies like Double Fine, etc, well...
I mean, I am not saying otherwise, I am saying it's his fault that Xbox is in the state it is, and that an AI head needed to take it over.
Xbox really needed it like 5-7 years ago. I think at this point, there's no turning the ship around.
I think it's over and Xbox will slow transition into a worse EA.
To be fair, I'd argue he's the reason this is all happening. If Xbox had been selling well, and doing fine, there wouldn't be this level of chaos at Xbox.
Had he stepped down 5-7 years ago, someone else might have been able to right the ship he could not, instead he stayed until it was too late.
Your old saves should work with the new version.
After March 3rd, people other than me will be posting regular Return to Dark Castle content. Does this mean that I'll have to step up my game beyond the annual Halloween and Christmas videos? We shall see.
Regardless, I hope it'll bring over my saved games.
