I might sit out next year's draft season. Just wake up on the day of the draft, see who goes where. That sounds nice.

Per Courtney Cronin, Bears Asst. GM Jeff King on Tyrique Stevenson:
Albert Breer says the player that’s been brought up repeatedly to him for the Bears is Keldric Faulk
It’d be fun if they drafted an edge rusher at some point that gets most of their wins with speed, if not Lawrence then maybe a Keyron Crawford or Romello Height, even if it’s for pass rush only. Add a closer to the bullpen. Mix up the pitches they can throw. Idk if DA would ever do it though.
The Bears need DL, so I gave McShay two choices: Kayden McDonald and TJ Parker.

Still weird for one analyst to call the Bears an elite team and the other analyst saying the Bears will be playing with the lead a lot

Idk what “trend” this is but the Bears posted it
Poles said earlier this offseason that an extension for Darnell Wright is a priority, so picking up the fifth-year option is probably a stepping stone to hopefully a longer deal.
Rapoport: The #Bears are picking up the fifth-year option for All-Pro OT Darnell Wright, source says. Locked in for the 2027 season.
We are so back
Todd McShay says on his podcast that the Bears are a possible offensive tackle team at pick 25, but "safety and edge to fit Dennis Allen's system is where they're going. I've also been told they could move back."
Albert Breer's draft notes:
- Mentions the Bears might be interested in an offensive tackle in first round. Thinks the lack of OTs could lead to some trades.
- CB Jermod McCoy has a significant knee issue, possible he falls out of the first round.
- Does not expect any DTs in the first 20 picks.
Hoge: Good morning. The #Bears are back. Season 2 under Ben Johnson officially begins today as players report to Halas Hall for the voluntary portion of the offseason program.
We’ll hear from some of them later this morning.
Dane Brugler: Biggest wildcards of the 1st round (won't be surprised if they go top-12, also won't be surprised if still available in the mid-20s):
CB Jermod McCoy
OT Kadyn Proctor
DE Keldric Faulk

I can’t help match that Poles answer to the Football 301 discussion between @fourverts.bsky.social and @natetice.bsky.social about Zion Young and TJ Parker. McDonald even says those guys remind him of guys who could’ve played for the 2009 Ravens.
Cue the Charlie Kelly Pepe Silvia meme.
Thinking about what the Bears might do early in the draft, I keep going back to this Ryan Poles answer from the combine, talking about old Steelers and Ravens teams that drafted well late by picking solid football players over guys with flashes of potential or guys that didn’t fit their culture.
I think you're dead on. My first instinct at the start of the draft season was Zion Young. More lately, I've thought TJ Parker if they stick and pick. They seem to be the cleanest scheme and need fits. If they can do a small trade back and still get one of them, think that's the ideal scenario.
Recent Mock Draft selections for Bears at pick 25:
• Missouri edge Zion Young
• Clemson edge T.J. Parker
• Oregon safety Dillon Thieneman
• Utah offensive tackle Spencer Fano
• Auburn edge Keldric Faulk
• Toledo safety Emmanuel McNeil-Warren
• Alabama offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor
Cronin: The NFL's stadium committee has a meeting scheduled with Chicago Bears' brass the week of April 27 to get an update on the team's stadium plans.
Here's what we know about where things stand between two proposed sites in Illinois and Indiana and what's next for the Bears.
