Centaur the shelter dog has once again fit all of his paws into his trusty metal bucket. right behind him is a spacious bone-shaped pool for him to use, but he has decided this bucket is all he needs.

This is Centaur. He was given his very own pool. Still prefers sitting in an old metal bucket. 13/10

Today’s Exhibit of the Day? The lion’s mane jellyfish (Cyanea capillata). It's one of the world’s longest animals, with tentacles that can grow >100 ft (30 m) long! It trails a “mane” of over 800 stinging tentacles that are covered in cells with venom that stun prey.

This year I'm on a quest to be more mindful about what I buy, consume and waste. I saved all the scraps from the veggies I cut up the last two weeks and made my first veggie stock! I'm quite proud of myself.

It’s Fossil Friday! Let’s swim back in time about 85 million years to the Late Cretaceous to meet Xiphactinus, a gigantic predatory fish. This species could reach lengths of 17 ft (5.2 m) and was capable of swallowing a 6-ft- (2-m-) long fish whole!
