My life it’s almost 2 years of Labour. What a bunch of random nothingness they’ve done so far. Such a meek hodgepodge of policies and stuff. Change? Yes indeed. Please.

I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to speak my mind, to state what I believe even when it's directly at odds with billionaire power. I'm among the minority allowed to do it. But it's not a privilege. It's a right. And everyone should possess it.
Almost everything we argue about is a substitute for the thing we should be arguing about: the immense wealth & power of an oligarchic class, which captures governments, ruins lives and wrecks the living planet.
This class redirects our rage at scapegoats. To resist its lies is to resist its power.
The basic issue is obvious:
Starmer decided to appoint for reasons unknown a man as ambassador to the US who was utterly unfit for the job
Everyone knew that at the time
There was no mystery that Mandelson was unappointable.
Mandelson self-destructed.
Starmer is responsible
The rest is noise
The killer is No10 didn’t want vetting. Starmer would have been gone by now if Robbins and FCDO hadn’t done it cos Starmer would have exposed country to a proven security risk with no safeguards.
New, from me: Take the Palantir manifesto seriously, if not literally.
It reveals that our tech philosopher kings want public money, but without public accountability. This creates a dilemma for governments unaligned with its techno-fascist vision. 🧵

I stand by vibe there’s only so much they can do. As proven in councils they’ve been running already. But yes. Greens our only real hope.
Was saying vote whatever it takes to get rid of Starmer. I’d say Green 100% of the time unless it helps Labour.
I don’t know for sure, but I’d wager I’m more involved in trying to make UK politics work and match my values but keep poking in the dark at me by all means.
I mean I don’t live in the US, he is the most unpopular (see the stats) and she did do a good job despite being on the very opposite end of politics to me.
I liken it to Trump term one. Not much. Term two when they’re up to speed - yes.
There is absolutely no way opposition leader Starmer would accept PM Starmer’s bs. He would absolutely expect him to step down.
Absolute dodge. Because he doesn’t want to lie again.
Keir Starmer tells MPs: "I know many members across the house will find these facts to be incredible"
They laugh.
It’s a tough one. But I’d say they’re not effective enough to do damage in next 4 years. Then vote them out again.
How anyone can vote Labour on 7 May is beyond me. The only way to get rid of Starmer (maybe, hopefully 🤷♂️) is to vote anyone but Labour.
Good work Kemi Badenoch 👏

Keir Starmer: I have changed the process so that the barn door must be closed before the horse has bolted
Keir Starmer "Last Tuesday I immediately instructed officials.. to urgently establish the facts.. this is information I should have had a long time ago"
So why didn't you ask for it a long time ago?"
Some of these feel spectacularly badly judged.
I also *really* hope they checked with the victim whose case they're using here that she was happy for her situation to be used in this way.
I feel like the next 24 hours in parliament are going to be really trying for those of us who dislike the passive voice
WE DONT BELIEVE YOU STARMER. You truly are another Boris Johnson. Just go.
YOU appointed Robbins, Starmer. The buck always stops with the boss. Except never with you. Absolute snake.
God Starmer and Co are such slime bags. He’s so arrogant, so pompous, so incapable of taking responsibility.
He’s helpfully omitting that Simon Case advised him not to appoint until Mandelson had passed vetting.
Yet more lies by omission.
As we gear up for the PM's statement, check out this key analysis from my brill @instituteforgovernment.org.uk colleague @hannahkeenan.bsky.social- all you need to know about what's happened and what impact it's having on an already fragile system:
