Come visit if you're around! Any Perth/Aussie recommendations are much appreciated.
Some exciting news: Starting July 2027, I’ll be joining the University of Western Australia as a Lecturer in Philosophy! Thanks to everyone for all the support along the way. Time to go celebrate with friends and family over the holidays. 😀
‘According to the philosophical account Taylor draws on, the articulations of poetry are as fully capable of disclosing the existential significance of human life as the words of philosophers or saints.’

I guess I was reading about cats in Harper’s:
Love these pics! Meanwhile, half of the Montreal photos on my phone are of random pages of whatever I was reading at Myriade. That’s life, though, eh?
Just finished. Highly recommended! Felt timely too. Last Montreal summer.
Life update: I’ll be heading to Oxford as a SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellow from September 2025-2027! Thanks to many, many people for all the support along the way. Sad to leave McGill and Montreal. Life is nearly perfect here. But I’m looking forward to life in Oxford.

Rereading my presentation notes from class: there it is under question 2! Still trying to answer question 1. So it goes.
Me when I need to remember a Rawls footnote: 🧠🧠🧠
Haha, just checked my presentation notes!
Yeah, I think so? Love the red.
There we are!
Aw, thanks Will!! That was indeed the best seminar ever! The paper is, in part, just the result of a bunch of cool conversations we all had in class, and my attempt to make sense of things.
Thanks to many, many people. Thanks especially to @marxinhell.bsky.social for his wonderful 2022 seminar on ideology, and the whole crew of McGill political theorists in it. You’re all the best. Thanks too to @rgcs-mcgill.bsky.social for the free espresso, a lovely desk, support, etc.
