as for commissioners, if you're using your email instead of a vgen account I'd suggest uploading .jpg/.png files for your character references instead of links! 👀

Art is another language, and the most prominent element of it is emotions.
The moment you don't let the emotion speak for themselves, it's the moment the piece of art loses energy and feels underwhelming, if not even fake.
It is good to reach for improvement, but don't hyperfocus on that.
With random doodles done on the fly instead, you are literally letting your brain loose, no constraints or logic applied to your hand. You're letting your heart speak instead.
And people will feel that, connect with that random doodle a lot more easily, enough to show it to other people.

With the piece that you stress yourself out to make it as perfect as possible, you're using too much logic and brain, and most of the times it results in something that people will not really care about.
