Son habitat de reproduction estival comprend les prairies d'herbes hautes (aujourd'hui en déclin) du centre-sud du Canada.

The Baird's sparrow is a migratory bird native to Canada, Mexico, and the US. It was named after the American naturalist Spencer Fullerton Baird.
Its summer breeding habitat includes the (now diminishing) tall grass prairies of South Central Canada.
