The Wall Street Journal editorial board writes a scathing op-ed on Trump's Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick.
"Does Lutnick understand, well, commerce?"

NTSB chart showing the PAPI-guided approach to Runway 33 at DCA and the helicopter corridor altitude path. There is a 75 foot margin between the helicopter route and the approach path.
The safety margins between helicopters and aircraft arriving on DCA’s RWY 33 could be as small as 75 feet. Yesterday, the NTSB made two urgent safety recommendations to the FAA to permanently solve that danger: www.flightradar24.com/blog/flight-...
"In years past, D.C. was allowed to spend according to the annual balanced budgets that Bowser and the D.C. Council formulate and pass."
"But... Republicans opted instead to treat D.C. the same as a federal agency, freezing funds and thus forcing the city to revert to its fiscal year 2024 budget"
to hold up their dumb little signs I guess? that was soooo effective ...
The democrats showing was absolutely embarrassing last night. This party is essentially allowing Trump and his cronies to get away with whatever they want.
Excellent!
Okay well I *stand* corrected
only bc you work there 😚
I've been watching local FOX 5 out of DC who now has a helicopter over the scene and I haven't seen anything resembling an aircraft in the water. Rescue operations ongoing.
This is an unusually long closure, and USPP is circling over the Potomac
Latest from #DCA: "Emergency personnel are responding to an aircraft incident on the airfield."
Statement via FAA: A PSA Airlines Bombardier CRJ700 regional jet collided in midair with a Sikorsky H-60 helicopter while on approach to Runway 33 at Reagan Washington National Airport around 9 p.m. local time. PSA was operating as Flight 5342 for American Airlines. It departed from Wichita, Kansas.
There have been just two U.S. airline fatalities since the 2009 Colgan crash. In 2018, the failure of an engine aboard a Southwest flight caused a passenger to be partially sucked out the window and in 2019 a PenAir turboprop experienced an overrun in AK causing a prop blade to impact the fuselage.
There has been an incident at DCA airport in Washington, possibly involving a collision between two aircraft. The airfield is currently closed until further notice. Inbound aircraft are diverting. We will share more details as we learn them. flightradar24.com/airport/dca

i think rage at congestion pricing is a good example of how no one believes that the world can be positive sum anymore. like, people pay a small fee to get access to a faster commute — saving them valuable time — and the money improves public transit, saving other people valuable time. it's win-win!
Moore thinks that NYC CP won't see the same U-shaped popularity curve as other implementations, because it isn't strong enough to affect behavior sufficiently to demonstrate benefits. #TRBAM

After 50+ years, congestion pricing is finally active in New York City. We did it!
Congratulations, New York City! Now please stop calling it "congestion pricing". It's the "Congestion Relief Zone," because congestion relief is what the toll buys.
Wait as in like traffic engineers? Or transit planners?
This guy was living in a $27,500 a month apartment in the same building as Taylor Swift, and he now lives on Central Park, and is out on the street complaining about congestion pricing.
