We have 🌸✨FOUR 🌸✨spaces left in our next online writing group!

It is a well-established group and a gently faciliated space, with no pressure to share work unless you want. Whilst not a therapy group, wellbeing support is available. Open to all adult survivors of #CSA

100% We need to shift the focus from survivor's 'needing' to speak to whether and how we listen to what they're saying.

"I was murdered slowly"

It's time we recognised that there are many ways abusers destroy their victims. Death by suicide is one of them. Hold them accountable.

When I disclosed #CSA I welcomed specialist advice from an ISVA, (particularly around reporting), but I was not telling people because I wanted them tell me what they would do.

The best responses were from those able to listen without judgement - the ones who said “can I support you in any way?”

They twist your words until you don’t trust your memory.

They deny things you know happened, leaving you doubting your reality.

They make you question if you’re too sensitive, too emotional, too much.

Gaslighting isn’t miscommunication—it’s manipulation.

Today is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, marking the start of the 16 days of Activism.

In 2023 every 10 minutes globally a woman is killed by a partner or family member.

In 2022 the rate was one woman killed every 11 minutes.
