I think it's a combo of HHH being out of juice creatively and TKO being focused so much on the profit margin that it's unwilling to explore anybody new in the main event scene. Just keep leaning on the proven moneymakers.

I can immediately think of one coach with a championship pedigree who has experience bringing stars to Chicago.
The Bulls should hire James Wade.
With Doc Rivers basically being retired, Billy Donovan is inheriting Doc's crown as the coach who will continue to fail upward
One of the things that really stuck with me from the Rick Perlstein books is understanding how much the Vietnam War and supposed POWs who got left behind animated the conservative mindset for generations.
If only we had a somewhat recent example of the futility in earnestly believing bad actors have buyer's remorse on Trump and experienced a personal epiphany (picture unrelated)
I also think people are measuring Slot against an impossible standard in some regard. Beyond Jurgen Klopp's general aura, the PL has improved so much just within the last 5 or 6 years. It's going to be a long time before a club is flirting with 100 points in a season.
I can see both sides of the argument on Slot. On a tactical level, LFC have been devoid of a clear identity and won a lot of their matches through grit or pure luck. But the club has been snakebitten in a way that pretty much any manager would've had a hard time.
Maybe this winds up like keeping Brendan Rodgers only to sack him eight matches into the next season, but I think Arne Slot deserves at least one more year. Let him have a normal preseason buildup.

A condition of any contract I offered to Sophie Cunningham would've been that she stop podcasting

If Ezi is going to miss multiple months, I really question whether the Storm can contend for a title
All right we need to shut down all international basketball until we find out what the hell is going on
The NFL offseason hasn't truly begun until people start talking themselves into the idea that Odell Beckham is finally healthy and ready to bounce back with a new team
If you're somebody who doesn't like getting to the airport too early, I get it. There isn't a one-size-fits-all approach to travel. But what are you actually doing with the 45-60 extra minutes you're at home.
I understand the idea of "wasting" time at the airport, but to me, you're either sitting at home waiting to leave for the airport or you can just leave early and wait at the airport gate. They're fundamentally the same thing.
This is all a big psyop to make Vince McMahon look like a beloved fan-first steward of the business
A complete disaster of the season where so much went wrong and the manager lost a ton of popular support. And LFC are still just 3 points off third place. 🤷
Liverpool finishing third would be pretty funny because I'd bet a lot of supporters would've considered that a plausible, if disappointing outcome before the year kicked off. And yet, that's so much different than how the entire season has been discussed.
Goodman should’ve won an Emmy for Righteous Gemstones. He brought so much humanity to a character that would be easy to treat as one-dimensional.
The WNBA isn’t a developmental league. The talent level is too high. Even if you’re in a rebuilding phase, you can only lean on youth so much
You’re going to be terrible in the short term and few of these players outside of the obvious candidates are still going to be around in 2 years
Firing your GM and immediately building a team this way tells me you don’t understand WNBA roster construction
The XFL blimp crash was the kind of thing that would've felt too on the nose if you were scripting it in a comedy series. And yet,
Real heads remember
Posting my partner's personality scores online like it's the NFL combine. Mel Kiper is arguing with Todd McShay about whether she has the intangibles to provide meaningful companionship over the long term.
In the space of 20 minutes, Xavi Simons goes from ripping off his shirt while triumphantly celebrating a go-ahead goal to looking like he's on the verge of tears after Spurs give up an equalizer. Not sure you can be a more cursed team if you tried.
The vibes are very bad
Spurs really are going to get relegated

Ted Lasso would've been fine if it had been treated like the show it was presenting: A workplace dramedy intended to make you feel good. USA Network nailed this really well with the "blue sky" era.
But then Ted Lasso is nominated for a bunch of Emmys and gets treated like prestige TV.
The complete lack of subtlety with Rupert Mannion was hilarious. Just to make sure you know he's the bad guy, he wears black all the time and works out of an office inspired by Emperor Palpatine.
Children's shows are more nuanced than that.
