Take it from the WA League of Women Voters:
A person is more likely to be struck by lightning than commit voter fraud.

Today is Yom HaShoah, a day to remember the six million Jewish men, women, and children who were victims of the Holocaust, and the millions of other victims of Nazism. On this day we honor the dead, and also pledge never to forget the atrocities of the past.
Spokane’s Hi-Rel Labs tested parts of the Orion capsule that took the Artemis II astronauts around the moon, and Hi-Rel-tested components could be part of the first lunar base. WA innovators are advancing the space sector's future right here in Spokane!

From the far side of the moon all the way home -- congratulations!
Today I spoke with the Artemis II crew:
There is no way to thank him for being the first American to summit Mt. Everest and all that meant to our country at that moment.
But his legacy of achievement, and his summit photo, will be an emblematic reminder for all of us to keep on striving towards our goals. (5/5)
Over the last several years, Jim helped lead key fights for public lands including the major fight to permanently reauthorize LWCF (Land and Water Conservation Fund). His voice was critical to showing the economic value of public lands. (4/5)
Jim left an indelible mark on Seattle as big as Mount Rainier itself when he grew REI into a retail giant.
Because of him, outdoor adventures went from a niche industry into global big business. (3/5)
He was awarded a medal by President John Kennedy and became close friends with Robert Kennedy, Ted Kennedy, and their families. I loved hearing Jim and Teddy share stories about their outdoor adventures together. Jim once rescued one of Teddy’s kids on a ski trip. (2/5)
Jim Whittaker was a larger-than-life figure who became a personal family friend with the Kennedy family. (1/5)
The new Poplar Way Bridge will help keep Lynnwood moving. The new bridge will relieve congestion on the busy 196th Street exit and includes a pedestrian walkway making it safer and easier for south Lynnwood residents to get to Alderwood Mall and the city center.

A return to diplomatic regional discussions will save lives and dollars and protect America's long-term interests, while President Trump’s irresponsible words and actions undermine them. Congress must impose constraints on this President’s wrongheaded use of force.
This milestone wouldn’t have been possible without the technology that is designed, built, and tested in Washington state’s “Silicon Valley of Space.” (3/3)
… and it's made possible both by the brave crew of astronauts who have inspired the world and the countless scientists, engineers, and manufacturers whose years of hard work turned this vision into reality. (2/3)
Tweet by NASA Earth: The Artemis II astronauts are now farther from Earth than humans have ever been.
Humanity reaching farther into the cosmos than ever before is a triumph of American ingenuity … (1/3)
Sen. Cantwell visits Artemis supplier
The engine thrusters that will help Artemis maneuver around the moon are made right here in Redmond. Our state is playing a big role in making this mission successful, and we should all be proud.
It’s really an important week for the United States. As we return to the moon, Washington state is playing a big role.

And Washington state's space industry is making it happen - from the thrusters that will guide the Orion spacecraft to and around the moon, to the parachute deployment systems that will return the astronauts safely to Earth. (2/2)
The world will be watching in awe as the Artemis II crew pushes the limits of what humanity can do by traveling around the moon. This trip lays the groundwork for returning to the Moon's surface and staying there. (1/2)

Yesterday’s ruling confirmed what we all knew – Trump’s actions against public broadcasting broke the law. Read @cantwell.senate.gov statement:
By sidelining protections for species like the critically endangered Rice's whale, manatees, and sea turtles, the administration is putting coastal economies and families on the hook for the consequences of increased oil and gas activity. (2/2)
Gulf Coast communities have already paid the price for offshore drilling with polluted waters, damaged fisheries, and costly cleanups, and this decision risks repeating that history. (1/2)
The framers were deliberate; the Constitution entrusts election administration to the states. (3/3)
Washingtonians cherish voting by mail because they know it is secure and convenient, but President Trump’s efforts to interfere with mail-in ballots could cause chaos and disenfranchise voters just months before the midterms. (2/3)
Today's executive order is another alarming attack on Americans' right to vote. (1/3)
The economy of the Puget Sound is bigger than the economies of 36 entire states – expanded light rail will help ensure it remains a place where people want to live, innovate, and work into the future. (3/3)
In 40 minutes, commuters will be able to get from downtown Seattle to a job in Redmond and it will provide an affordable traffic-free option for getting to the airport or future Sonics games. (2/3)
Crosslake Connection ribbon cutting
The completion of @sound-transit.bsky.social light rail across Lake Washington is a historic moment for the region. And just in time for the World Cup! This expanded service will integrate Seattle with the Eastside. (1/3)
Every American deserves equal pay for equal work.
Today – on #EqualPayDay – we’re reminded that women with full-time jobs make only 81 cents for every dollar paid to a man. That’s why I’ve joined my colleagues to reintroduce the Paycheck Fairness Act and end pay discrimination.
Every WA voter attests they are a U.S. citizen. The penalty for lying is up to 5 yrs in prison &/or a $10k fine.
And somehow people think that immigrants who won’t even go to the grocery store, who are afraid take their kids to school, are signing up for a felony by voting illegally?
