This is not normal. At all.
BREAKING: New data shows ZERO oil tankers passed through the Strait of Hormuz today, signaling what appears to be a complete shutdown of the Strait for the first time in history.
The Strait normally carries about 20% of the world’s oil supply.
In case you’re confused - the £100k of tax Richard Tice failed to pay here is totally different to the
- £92k of tax not properly withheld on dividends
- the £600k side-stepped via highly aggressive tax avoidance

Worth adding that Russia did as a matter of fact intervene for Trump in 2016 and that the evidence is widely known, abundant, and collected in various forms (🧵 1/3)

It’s not just the remarkable 63% who say they’d vote to rejoin the EU. It’s also the fact that this figure continues to rise slowly but steadily.
Brexit has failed and is seen to have failed. And geopolitics brings Britain and its neighbours, with whom it shares interests & values, closer together.
A government spokesman told The Telegraph that no reports of UK vessels being attacked had been received, adding plainly: "We don't recognise this claim."
What should have happened: the REIT paid no tax but the Tice companies holding shares in the REIT paid £98k tax on the dividends they received. What actually happened: none of the companies paid any tax.
Our new report: Richard Tice signed accounts wrongly claiming £98,000 of tax exemptions
A 🧵 with the evidence:
If I were a government minister and I had a magic wand, I think 'make people more aware of pensions and how they work' is the thing that solves so many political problems.
A HUGE, narrative-breaking moment for the UK car market
New EVs are now cheaper than petrol cars on average, says Autotrader
Last yr CCC said price parity was due by 2028 – and it's already here
And EVs are already MUCH cheaper to run than petrol
The pied-à-terre tax will ruin New York's economy by (checks notes) encouraging superrich visitors to stay in hotels instead. I think these scare stories need a little more workshopping. www.ft.com/content/02ac...
Not only did the sons probably call ICE on her, the day after her husband died they took their dad's cars, leaving her housebound. Then they rerouted mail, causing her to miss a visa appointment & the utilities to be turned off. Tony and Gary Ross are going to hell.

You don't get coverage like this on Russian TV without Kremlin approval. The Kremlin knew Farage would be a useful tool, and such he has been and continues to be.
Here's the article which includes the actual interview in question. Yes, he absolutely said this and yes, it's in context.

I don't want to be an activist.
But then my synagogue — the place where I have personally thrown teenage temper tantrums, where my mom volunteers and my dad was chairman (the man can’t read Hebrew but likes to be involved) — was attacked.
The BBC undercover investigation into false immigration claims is deeply irresponsible journalism. It does not highlight that exploitation by unregulated advisors occurs because legal aid was cut and the system is insane to navigate.
I would go further and suggest the Conservatives trying to suggest there is impropriety in anything Labour does is the blackest ever pot trying to call a new kettle black.

If one of my party's recent prime ministers had redecorated the Number 10 flat in a way that ended up involving TWO separate inquiries and a Wikipedia page, I would simply not have put out a press release confirming that the current prime minister had spent less than the allowance he was given.
it gets lost in the shuffle of constant corruption and bloodshed but even with the memecoin ALONE, that would make him very clearly the most corrupt U.S. president in history, you could easily argue
You need to read this.
@timothysnyder.bsky.social has been warning us since 2016 about Trump. He knows: he’s one of world’s leading experts on authoritarianism & always ahead of the game.
V proud to publish him in @thenerve.news. He’s an essential voice.

"The independent media really did spring up though in Hungary, and like it should be mentioned, and those folks should be acknowledged."
@timmiller.bsky.social and @michaeldweiss.bsky.social discuss how independent Hungarian media played a role in the defeat of Orbán.
Trump's war on Iran enriches Moscow: Revenues from Russian exports of crude and refined products rose to $19 billion in March from $9.7 billion in February, the IEA said in a report.
Analysts predict the state is likely to collect more than $6.6 billion in additional tax revenue.
Far more sensible for governments of every stripe to distance themselves from toxic Trump than to cosy up to him
Good explanation from @stellacreasy.bsky.social of my analysis of the government/MAC's own data on the fiscal impacts of recent immigration, as featured in today's Guardian.

Every reference to 'welfare' ever should have 'including pensions' or 'excluding pensions' in parentheses next to the word.
All interviewers/articles should clarify at first use whether the word includes or excludes. Interviews should be stopped if unclear.
Because frankly it's getting tedious.
