I didn't consciously watch Santosh because of #IWD but it proved to be an appropriate choice. Dealing with police corruption, class discrimination and, above all, the appalling treatment of women in India it is a difficult watch at times but a vital one.

I've had this experience talking to people on the doorstep. It both surprised and encouraged me.
