I briefly consulted with @gusbova.bsky.social over the design of this cover and I love how it turned out.
Can't wait to read the story, @jessicawluther.com, thank you for writing this!

Good week of stories at the @texasobserver.org.
1. @stevanzetti.bsky.social on a right-wing news outlet publishing anonymously sourced allegations about a Houston minor by a supposed author whose name is likely an Ayn Rand reference: www.texasobserver.org/dallas-expre...

Last year, the @propublica.org / @texastribune.org investigative unit started a new partnership with newsrooms across TX. We produced some incredible accountability journalism. I'm so excited to announce our new TX newsroom partners for year two. www.propublica.org/atpropublica...

A great look at sleazy tactics from the Dallas Express, a Republican website that claims to be a news organization. @stevanzetti.bsky.social quotes me as a source on journalistic ethics, but don't hold that against him.

This is excellent much-needed reporting from @stevanzetti.bsky.social holding the Dallas Express accountable for publishing a wildly unethical piece with a fake byline and unnamed “law enforcement officials” sources targeting the child of a Democratic lawmaker
www.texasobserver.org/dallas-expre...
The right-wing Dallas Express published anonymously sourced allegations about a juvenile son of a Democratic lawmaker. The article was published under a fake name and republished on Yahoo News. Journalism professors said it violated basic journalism ethics.

This is a really good article about one of the most demographically unusual settlements in North America, and especially Texas
What makes Corpus Christi significant as a case is not that the drought was unpredictable. It is that the drought was predicted, and that the planning systems in place were calibrated to conditions that are no longer stable.
