A very heavy Espeon... (commission)
Damn it this feels like an [ ] Thing now
There has to be a limit to these things - they have to run out of juice some time, and someone needs to find that out by force
These things Need to be understood and the current crop of rescuers are NOT taking adequate notes when they volunteer to become test subjects!
So like, do you think they put a trap on the ceiling as well so people trigger that one too
Really need to find those mystery dungeons with the inflation traps so I can figure out what happens when you smush someones face into one 500 times.
It's going to become a girthday afterwards
It's not that old, The Scotland Act 1998 is what established the current Parliamentary system here, and laid out what powers are devolved to that parliament. When they struck down the legislation they made the political argument (falsely in my view) that it fell outside of those bounds.
(There's also a good chance that in these upcoming elections, Wales will elect Plaid Cymru, who are the Welsh Nationalists, making a fragmented union that little bit more... potent.)
I think it's likely! I do not trust England to sort its shit out any time soon - and if they tack to the right, it's unlikely Scotland will follow. It's nuanced, but the issue of independence right now is 50/50, but Farage is dirt here. I expect people will Not like being dictated to by the toad.
The SNP has some big flaws though, they're a tired administration as is, and on the question of independence they have never managed to satisfactorily answer the question on matters like what currency we would have, what defence might look like. Hard questions that were dodged a decade ago for sure
I'm of the view that it is reasonably likely they will create the sort of constitutional crises that would make it more likely that Scottish independence would become a hotter issue - but more than that, I don't trust other branches of UK parties in Scotland to be able to stand up to that.
The previous tory administration demonstrated a disdain for any Scottish Autonomy, to the point it could have become a constitutional crisis. Considering that Scotland politically is travelling in a different direction to England, and what Reform is like, that would be worse under a RUK UK admin
Currently? It's not likely - unlike Northern Ireland, there is no enshrined legislation that gives the Scottish Government the right to hold a referendum on independence. Permission would need to be granted, and the referendum won, which is by no means a sure thing on many levels. However!

No matter how classic it may be, it will never get old to see a creature become a shape (and a logistical problem for extraction..) Excellent work!
A cream colored Ninetales with short, scruffy hair, inflated into a helpless near-sphere. An orange and white striped scarf rests on the ground in front of him, seemingly having fallen off. Beneath them is a metal plate with a red balloon logo on it.
[ CW: Inflation ]
Finished commission for @blimpedbeast.bsky.social of their Ninetales sona! Classic story, get distracted while exploring, step on an inflation trap. Guess he'll have to call for a rescue!
Thank you for the commission!
春っぽい絵描きたいな〜って構図練ってるうちに夏が来てしまうんだよね
Please don't threaten me with a good time. On the national level, that would be absolutely hilarious because I imagine the SNP would essentially ruin blue labours day every single time (and the DUP got to have some fun with May, why not us!)
for Scot Regional? Ohohoohoh that would be FUN.
Yeah I'm grateful for it, although I feel like the only reason that's the case for now is because England is so smitten with conservatism on the regular, that the natural counterbalance to that is for nationalists to tack left. I don't doubt if we got independence it would Immediately fracture.
(Also note for my American Friends, bizarrely, the Scottish National Party is a left-leaning [mostly] party [the mostly is because a lot of the right wingers decided to go make their own cool party with blackjack and hookers, proceeding to win 0 votes] - nationalism is semi left-leaning up here)
It's going to be difficult because the slightly proportional system we have makes it difficult to win an outright majority (hence why the sensible independence ticket is usually Scottish National Party on the constituency and Greens on the regional) - but I'm.. curious to see how it goes.
Like, I'm not motivated to deeply look into policy, because I do not trust the English to shoot themselves in the face (again) in a few years time and vote Reform in. If they do that, any devolved Scottish policy would be moot and I would want our government at the border with spades digging us free
It sure is strange seeing the upcoming Scottish elections knowing that the SNP could viably come away with a majority despite 20 years in power, by sheer virtue of labour's incompetence. I'm definitely approaching the election from a bit of a strange perspective as well.
Oh hell yeah these all work! Quadrupeds are NOT easy until you get the hang of it, but my suggestion is to always Trust in the Bean. The Bean rarely leads you wrong (and it just helps keep the shoulders and hip circles relatively aligned :3)
The irony of putting things like that out and also simultaneously wanting to be absolutely splattered beyond belief. There is joy in the meow based hypocrisy of it all :>
Keeping myself in practice, despite my general lack of energy!
Do you not tire of being the unfulfilled sum of every assumption of what people wanted you to be?
Would you take back control of what you are, no matter how many times you had to cut?
To remind them you are not a task to complete and succeed at - that you operate outside their rules and wishes?
