Ipswich riverside map: everything I’ve just walked past on my right is now on my left 🤨

Also promises a “lovely walk” with no distance… afternoon or Christmas?

Then two fenced parallel paths.

Wayfinding isn’t signs. It’s thinking.

Out on site yesterday with my team picking up the first load of oak we are recycling for my public art installation on Northey Island… the space has been cleared of some invasive laylandii, and we are planning a mixed wildflower meadow around the installation! 🌸🌳

Not every project gets chosen. 🫙
This was a proposal built around glass, weathering and time – I loved the idea that it would slowly change in the salt air and become part of the landscape.
In the end, health and safety won.
Still a beautiful idea.

Looking through the archives today and rediscovering some old land-art ideas. This was an unchosen concept for a ground-based artwork – a geoglyph cut into the landscape. Good ideas don’t expire – they just wait for the right place!
