Ipswich riverside map: everything I’ve just walked past on my right is now on my left 🤨
Also promises a “lovely walk” with no distance… afternoon or Christmas?
Then two fenced parallel paths.
Wayfinding isn’t signs. It’s thinking.

One of the best parts of running the Urban Tree Festival is our student internship programme!
Each year, up to five students from Goldsmiths join us to follow the full festival journey, from concept and branding through to delivery and evaluation.
Not every project gets chosen. 🫙
This was a proposal built around glass, weathering and time – I loved the idea that it would slowly change in the salt air and become part of the landscape.
In the end, health and safety won.
Still a beautiful idea.
Looking through the archives today and rediscovering some old land-art ideas. This was an unchosen concept for a ground-based artwork – a geoglyph cut into the landscape. Good ideas don’t expire – they just wait for the right place!
