On a freebies table at No Borders are zines, stickers, and flyers. On the white wall behind the table is a mural of a large green leafy plant. April 4, 2026.
On the right, beyond the table with the free KN95 masks (masking is required at No Borders), is a display of free stuff that includes #zines and stickers. Zines range in topic from abolition to abortion to mutual aid. As I browsed, I noticed the vibe in the store is welcoming and chill. #Queens #NYC
On the left inside No Borders are displays of books that are “staff picks” and creations by local artists (buttons, hand-painted bookmarks, mini prints, patches, etc.). Adjacent to the displays is a single white wooden chair. A floor-to-ceiling bookcase filled with books is also against that wall. April 4, 2026.
Walking into No Borders and turning left, I saw on the wall a display of #books that are “staff picks,” along with displays of creations by local artists (buttons, hand-painted bookmarks, mini prints, patches, etc.). A floor-to-ceiling bookcase filled with books is against that wall. #Queens #NYC

This overcast Saturday afternoon, I walked over to check out No Borders Collective, a worker-owned bookstore temporarily occupying the former Side B boutique’s spot at 36-12 34th Ave in Astoria. No Borders opened in this spot last month (March). bookshop.org/shop/NoBorders #books #Queens #NYC
