lol I’m a xennial and I have never made or executed a meal plan in my life. My method involves always having a few staples in my house so that when it’s meal time I can find something to eat that won’t cause misery. And I’ll make an occasional bulk recipe. (as an ADHDer that’s the best I can do.)

If your examples of uncharitable behavior come exclusively from people who have built their identity or brand by being provocative online, your sampling method sucks.

I read recently that only about 20% of people who use social media regularly post. And we all know that the algo amplifies only the most shrill or controversial of posts. As such, the world looks a lot more cruel and inhumane on social media than it is in reality.

The article explicitly states that $400k covered the costs of the concert. Which begs the question: how did this benefit the organization?

Honestly, what Cuomo had going for him was billionaire funding, name recognition, and cynicism. I don’t think people voted for him because they were super excited about him or his platform. Centrists had other options in that slate.

Cuomo will take whatever political position that he thinks will allow him to get and hold on to power, so he aligns with the money. Difficult to sort folks like that into an ideological bucket because his ideology is narcissism.

The GOP has not put forth a serious mayoral candidate for quite a while. Mamdani will be up against Eric Adams running as an independent, Republican Curtis Sliwa who is a cartoon character, and maybe also Cuomo who has threatened to run as an independent. NYC politics are not as tidy as you say.

Rank choice voting is supposed to liberate us from that.

I'm not nearly as excited by any other mayoral candidate as I am disgusted by Cuomo. He is vile. Whatever else happens today, I will not be ranking Cuomo. In case anyone was asking. 🤡

Clearly you have never played sports and have absolutely no idea how much time and energy goes into refining the skills required to perform at this level.

That you revere the exploitive and extractive brain work of the owners over the joy-giving body work of the players says a lot about you.
