Pleasantly surprised to see the advanced smart stores that #Zara has built. In NL, order can be picked up same day from an automated chute. Awesomely efficient!

I mean those with big platforms eg Fortune 50 CEOs or start ups with large market caps.. haven’t seen any sticking out their necks publicly. All cowards. Maybe I missed those that have done so.

“All they did”? Really? These purity positions you and others on bluesky espouse aren’t helpful. Dario has taken a more principled stance than any of the big tech or even big corporate leaders at a real risk to Anthropic continuity.

Good. Principles matter especially currently with abundance of corporate cowardice . Hope they hold the line.

Greetings from Kyiv,
where the night brought missiles and drones.
Explosions still continue this morning.

Emergency power outages.
Heating problems.
Residential buildings hit.

Europe has clay feet. It just will not provide the risk capital for AI nor does it have the innovation chops needed to cost-down engineer ai development. so it will have almost no role in its development.

Insane how institutions around the world let Trump bully them into submission even when they, like the #bbc don’t have any US dependency.

Twitter was very entertaining this past weekend. Feels like a positive vibe shift after the swift and broad backlash when andreesen mocked the pope, to joyce carol Oates’s poetic tongue lashing of Musk basically stating he has no soul — which has him crashing out.

I watched this and read your piece. Truly heartbreaking. Thinking aloud re: solutions, are there trials of solar-based hydroponic mini green houses installed to boost food security at the camps? Any means of getting cash to Rovina specifically for immediate relief? Bike community transport?

I helped make a film, out this week, called “Rovina’s Choice,” about the deaths this man without conscience or accountability has caused — already 600,000, ⅔ of them children.

The Shutdown of U.S.A.I.D. Has Already Killed Hundreds of Thousands The short documentary “Rovina’s Choice” tells the story of what goes when aid goes.

One analytical model shows that, as of November 5th, the dismantling of U.S.A.I.D. has already caused the deaths of 600,000 people, two-thirds of them children. https://newyorkermag.visitlink.me/jUzNSc

$1Trillion compensation package for Elon Musk, the man who gleefully dismantled USAID, and subsequently led to the death of almost half a million children within a few months. The obscenity of it all, the depravity…

Twitter still has better discovery and much more engagement. Bluesky is less odious but full of sanctimonious folks..a lot of group think happens here which I understand but is not very appealing.

Great write up! The ungodly amounts of money packaged like subprime mortgages and rotated amongst a select few feels like a weird version of The Big Short but likewise the story ends in tears. Now when does the shoe drop?

Here’s How the AI Crash Happens The U.S. is becoming an Nvidia-state.

so @matteowong.bsky.social & I wrote on data centers: arguably the most important buildings in the world & are, in a way, holding the economy hostage. Byzantine financial instruments, private equity, depreciating tech, hype, $trillion valuations. it’s all there. an ai crash prob starts here.

great writing.tnx. as with all conflict in Africa, there’re always corrupt leaders fighting to control natural resource and foreign third parties prolonging the turmoil. it’s a never ending travesty.
Seperately car breaking down under the circumstances you & crew were in must have been scary.

I think Gates is aware of the negative outcomes that aren’t on the extreem of apocalypse and good for you. I agree with his pragmatic approach especially now that USAID is no more. I don’t think most people realize how devastating that has been to global health and development activities.

As usual, Europe is reactive instead of proactive. This acquisition should never have happened. + there are a few more semi con companies in Eindhoven that were sold to Chinese companies. But seizure of assets escalates everything. Should have bought back ownership. #nexperia #semiconductors
