2 firefighters take a short, and likely needed, rest below a statue tribute to firefighters past and present just outside Glasgow Central Station, near where a massive fire completely destroyed a whole building.
Our flat stinks of smoke this morning, and a Glasgow landmark has gone overnight.
Awful to see a piece of history destroyed but so glad no-one was hurt, and amazed by the firefighters who stopped the fire spreading further
Two firefighters resting, sitting on the plinth of the "Citizen Firefighter" statue.
Quite an image on the BBC live page (www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cd...; no photographer credited).
Sounds as if they've saved the station and the hotel, and more importantly, without loss of life.
Citizens; heroes.

23 years ago today we got married on the Isle of Islay.
So many friends and family joined us and helped make the day special and do mean make. They turned up to the village hall and helped set it up and decorate it.
It was so special to see friends and family become a community

Genuinely undecided about voting at 16.
Lots of good reasons to do it, lots of reasons not too.
I suppose my main concern is how this will lead to further restrictions on how teachers interact with students and what they are permitted to discuss.
All elections are TikTok elections now.

Our S5/6 core class chose they wanted to learn a little more about Israel/Palestine. In order to break it down to make it understandable we thought about what would happen if it was in our own town. Thinking about how both sides would be feeling. Some great and mature discussions from the pupils.

It often feels like the data is the *only* thing that's important. Often closely followed by a message that the metrics must be improved, whilst obviously keeping costs down. All to be achieved by those with least agency and greatest accountability.
