You will. Eventually your heart and mind start to understand that he isn't physically here any more and that helps ease the gut punch you feel now. You'll always miss him, but one day you will remember him more often with smiles than tears.

I am so sorry. Eventually you can remember him more with smiles than tears, but this part of the journey is so especially hard.
A reminder:
Rogan didn't endorse Trump because some people on the left criticized him; he endorsed Trump because well-funded right wing propagandists -- for which liberals and the left have no equivalent -- repeatedly targeted his sponge-like mind with right wing propaganda.

Hegseth mentor says married women shouldn't be allowed to vote.
Campuses brutally crushed protests in 2023 and 2024. They embraced the arrest and deportation of their own students, adopted unsparing policies of expulsion and made clear that the First Amendment didn't apply.
It's not a mystery why unarmed, powerless teenagers aren't risking their futures.
Thread.
I want to scream, but I just can't anymore.
This is SO common. "Tough on crime" types always get the credit, even if we need time to flow backwards and sideways to give them the credit.
Always. Over and over.
And smart policies never get credit, and any success is framed as strange and tentative.
Any federal official who does not respond to Tuesday’s threat in a manner befitting their own constitutional obligations in light of Trump’s past actions will bear a part of the responsibility for what follows.
That’s my take.
Read all about it at Law Dork.
Vice President J.D. Vance has a moral, ethical, and constitutional obligation to invoke Section 4 of the Twenty-Fifth Amendment by securing the support from a majority of the cabinet to “immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.”
I think it is ok for adults such as parents or booksellers to not supply kids with books they think are seriously inappropriate. As long as they understand that may just make the kid want to read it all the more.
Omg. I read
that series in 8th gr
at Catholic school. I highlighted & passed the 2nd one around to classmates. I was shocked & thought the language used for penis was hilarious. The nuns called my mom who had no idea what the series was about. I was a goody goody of a kid so didn't get in trouble.
CNN: "In the initial statement from DHS, they said these two migrants had attacked the ICE agents in Minneapolis with the shovel, but what this video shows is this was not the case ... the two ICE agents made false statements under oath."
I feel like I have nothing to write. "Genocide is illegal and Trump must be tried for war crimes" feels, somehow, *under*whelming in this moment.
#ICYMI: I wrote yesterday about the effort by a handful of academics to create a literature supporting President Trump's birthright citizenship executive order—and how such backfilling has only been encouraged by the way that #SCOTUS has utilized (and cited) legal scholarship in recent years:
George was right. He understood it from the start and was brave enough to speak out.
"Ms. Ramos is a devout Christian who teaches Sunday school to children at her church, Ms. Rickling said. She was in her high school’s marching band. And she was a few months from finishing a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry."
Clearly, the 'worst of the worst.'

Every congressperson on this or any other site wringing their hands over how unhinged and dangerous Trump’s post is, remember:
You have a power and a position — thus a responsibility — to act upon those concerns.
Ratioing the president doesn’t resolve his official instability or unsuitability.
NY TIMES: “Trump Revels in Threats to Commit War Crimes in Iran… Until this administration, American leaders had insisted they were trying to follow international law in war.” www.nytimes.com/2026/04/05/u...
Trump is bribing & pressuring his would-be-vassal-state autocrats to build a global network of concentration camps.
This is the foreign policy side of the “pretermission” crisis in immigration court. 🧵
Mark Jacob on how the press ignores the biggest Trump story: “The president of the United States is clearly mentally unfit for office."
I'm surprised by the headline.
Hey media--
Pam Bondi is not a victim -- she willingly carried out Trump's political agenda to prosecute his political enemies and undermine free and fair elections.
Todd Blache is not shouldering a "burden" or "walking a tightrope." He is a willing accomplice.
Language matters.
One way or another, this country is going to learn that accommodating white supremacist ideology will destroy this country. It did so once before and is doing so again.
Is this country really prepared to allow our military to be DESTROYED by racism & sexism. Are we watching this like a TV show?
OK, it’s been two very long days at Law Dork. Thanks, all, for the kind words, for sharing my work, and — yes — for subscribing. It’s a difficult moment, but I am so grateful that many of you make what I do possible. Thanks.
And, if you’re new — or don’t know Law Dork — check it out!

It's just a matter of how he loses.
Striking down the EO while expanding the exceptions for birthright citizenship and instruction Trump how to write the next executive order *is* a clear loss to the cause.
I am more worried about that than the fate of this EO.
