First Prime game was Corruption on the Wii, so I’m playing with pointer fusion controls. Come to realize that the Switch 2 Joycons are not as comfortable as the Wiimote.

The video games I’ve finished in 2025 so far. I’m hoping to finished at least two more before the end of the month.

Finally finished Blue Fire. It’s a solid 8.5 out of 10. Really, really enjoyed this game. Only thing that holds it back is no map and the combat is pretty lackluster. Otherwise, one of the most satisfying and perfectly challenging platformers I’ve played in a while. Highly recommend.

I have heard of the Nex Playground and it seems really fun. I thought about buying it for my 4 year old for Christmas but came to full stop when I realized that all the games are locked behind a subscription service.

Btw, Blue Fire is kinda an amazing little game. Whole game is built like a series of interconnected dungeons with excellent level design and platforming. Only been playing for a day but I’m going to be sinking so many hours into this game. 🔥🔥🔥

My big hot take about The Game Awards is that it should take place in Jan/Feb instead of December.

My other big problem with the show is that the winners are chosen by online votes. Not only can that be manipulated but you should have a panel of trusted experts picking winners.

I caught up to all 12 He Who Fights with Monsters audiobooks and now I have to wait until next year for the next book to come out. 😩

This is part of the problem with this era of fighting games. It really does feel like it’s in such a box. Especially 3D fighters. We have Tekken, Virtual Fighter, and what else? There used to be so much variety in art, concept, and gameplay.

So I started playing Sonic X Shadow Generations because my son insisted I get it and wow, this game is really good. Like, the Shadow levels and the hub world feel like the perfect evolution of Frontier’s gameplay.

Rewatching Captain America: Brave New World and as much as I’m a fan of Harrison Ford, losing William Hurt sucks.

I don’t think people realize how much he owned that role and how much better his version of Ross would’ve been in this movie.

Finished South of Midnight. I enjoyed it. Story & world are great. Some of the gameplay/platforming feels very early 00’s era action adventure. In some aspects it feels lacking but the simplicity can be comforting to just have fun with. I hope Compulsion gets to build on it.
