A province that chooses to prohibit MAID in these cases is not 'taking away' any rights.

MAID is not available to persons with a mental disorder as their sole underlying condition or for mature minors; Quebec is the only province which has advanced requests. There is no constitutional right to MAID for these reasons, nor is there any existing federal legislation that allows for them.

There seems to be some confusion (or, worse, bad faith arguing and fear mongering). A government cannot 'roll back' something that doesn't exist.

One can't 'roll back' something that doesn't exist in the first place. MAID for mental illness is currently not available in Canada, and there is no legal or constitutional right to MAID solely on the basis of a mental disorder.

There is no 'right' to MAID for anyone under 18 in Canada. It's right there in the Criminal Code.

Loaded headlines such as "SACPA learns about the psychiatric MAID debate?"

"May" be as opposed to "will" be. It's a factual claim. Nothing dishonest about that. I certainly wouldn't claim to know what the government plans to do, precisely because it has been delayed three times already.
