I think it depends on what the player’s goal is at the time. If someone just wants to pass through, being forced into combat can feel frustrating. But even those who skip fights might eventually hit a wall and decide to level up through combat instead.
Most encounters use this setup, though a few are different. Combat’s totally optional, so you can skip it if you want.
I just thought it’d be nice to have some kind of goal, since enemies were showing up anyway!

✨Just added a new feature! When you enter a battle zone, a glowing blue line marks the boundary—and you’ll see your defeat rate progress in real time! Bonus rewards planned when you leave the area… 👀
