Country where children regularly go hungry, are hit by cars while playing in their neighborhoods, and are subject to frequent mass shootings claims “cultural supremacy”

Eugenics is always the answer for these people, what was the question again?
"Lazljiv Izgubljenovic"!!! I love Bosnians and I love Bosnians who hate AI
Less than 24 hours
It’s arguably less a war than it is just a string of war crimes
And there is no opposition party.
Surprise and shock are not emotions I have felt in a positive way this year until now!!
Nothing makes you feel like your precious time on this earth is being wasted quite like watching airport security swab a box of Cadbury mini creme eggs.
The good thing about disavowal is that you don't even have to rationalise your contradictory ideas!
I do think that a core component of contemporary US racism is a kind of disavowal that goes beyond "this does not apply to me or my loved ones" -- see Nick Fuentes, south Florida, Ye, Stephen Miller, etc. Completely disconnected from reality.
It's simple really, it's because he faced no real accountability for his actions.
we are a monstrous people. sick
How could you fail so completely to learn the lessons of a war so recent and so well-recorded
i'm currently laying sick in my bed, but these european "leaders" are sick in their heads. US congress didn't approve this, but germany, france and UK see no issue with it? EU politicians have a death wish. the thing is, people who don't want war will end up being those who die.
“How many of these gentle people have I helped to kill just by paying my taxes?" June Jordan, 1984
a fucking pedophile sexually abused nearly every prospective and actual Olympian gymnast for over two decades, and the political discourse is hyper-fixated on the hypothetical unfairness of trans girls competing with cis girls

I have been searching for the people who warned that the government was going to send in jack-booted thugs and black helicopters into our communities and I can’t find them anywhere
Someone wake me up when an IR scholar posts that this is a vindication of R2P and universal jurisdiction
Once again the idyllic America of days gone by is represented by…a slick Hollywood production, a simulacrum of reality that these people cannot distinguish from actual reality.
No different than seeing Main Street USA at Disneyworld and asking sincerely “why towns don’t look like this anymore.”
This looks so good
Today marks five years since we lost Lynn Staeheli. My memories of Lynn have an almost surreal quality: someone who walked into my life, changed everything, and then disappeared almost as quickly as she came. I feel grateful that I still get to assign her work to students—she lives on in that way.
The New School was founded by Columbia University professors who wanted a university run by the faculty with minimal administration. For over 100 years it has been a unique institution with progressive values and incredible students and faculty from Ai Weiwei to Hannah Arendt. We are devastated.
this is the bad place
European politics in this century have been largely fixated on growth-killing clichés (“sustainable development”); feckless foreign-policy gestures (recognition of a nonexistent Palestinian state); self-destructive environmental policies (Germany’s decision to close its nuclear-power stations); and a virtue-signaling attitude toward mass migration (Angela Merkel’s “We can manage this”) that is the central reason fascistic parties like Alternative for Germany are surging. All this needs to end.
sorry is the proposed solution to combatting fascistic parties to....adopt their fascistic policies?

Indeed: Huntington was an early warning sign of how, amidst skyrocketing inequality, a small coterie of unpatriotic super elites would seek to tear down state structures while shouting racist narratives of blood and soil into the media that they control
damn, this sounds like an amazing thing for a *checks notes* service economy
I felt like I was losing my mind watching this person's remarks and had to write about how disgusting they are.
Rolling out the Matt Christman quote from after Charlottesville (2017) again:
