My other supermarket observation: (while staring at all of the toilet cleaners) There’s never been a better time to be a toilet…
The constant that underpins the “abstractions” many people warn about is that programmers are terrified of a future where their program becomes incorrect.
Power and maybe network/phone/TV is probably the only kind of receptacle that’s in every room of your house. I think there should be a water receptacle in every room too.

Google dorked one too many times and now Google is throwing up captchas
Never liked the phrase "Google dork". Sounds like something a biologist would use to describe insect genitalia.

These were taken handheld on shutter priority mode at 1/60, ISO 100 (it’s stupidly easy to forget to adjust as it’s buried in a menu), f/2 - for me that would mean a blurry mess, but I think the sensor being so low-res means it is quite forgiving.

Photos from the C-2000. These were saved as TIFF, 1600x1200 and took ages to save, so I can see why it wasn’t a heavily advertised feature. Also looked way way different than on the LCD - only adjustments I did were highlights and shadows.

Feels like this hasn't been relevant since like, 2010 at least
I have an Olympus C-2000 camera which has a 2.1 megapixel sensor and more importantly a SmartMedia slot. The biggest SM card possible is 128 MB, and for some reason this camera can shoot TIFF images, meaning that you can store around 22 TIFFs at the very most. What a ridiculous time.

Repairing a subwoofer amp. Putting paper on top of the transformer seems to amplify the “bong” sound of the plates vibrating, seemingly when it’s switched on as the line voltage is at peak.
