Airborne, ffs. Say. Airborne.

Measles doesn't spread easily in some magical locations. It spreads easily where we share air and there is insufficient ventilation and filtration (building, room aka portable HEPA, personal aka CAN95s scale) to prevent inhaling infectious aerosols.

Grow up already 🤬

How a youth employment supplement could help young Canadians A youth employment supplement to the Canada Workers Benefit could help young Canadians facing housing costs, debt and weak job prospects.

Old Age Security delivers income support for those 65+. Why no help for younger Canadians who face higher levels of poverty? "A targeted workers benefit for young adults would support employment, ease financial stress and help rebuild economic opportunity." policyoptions.irpp.org/2026/02/yout...

Canada must support Cuba "You cannot ‘live within the lie’ of mutual benefit through integration when integration becomes the source of your subordination.”

Mark Carney said that Canada is "considering" sending aid to Cuba.

Before COVID, one million Canadians visited Cuba every year. Their convertavle peso is pegged to the Canadian Dollar. I argue that we need to send fuel and supplies ASAP, regardless of Trump.

An airborne virus is a virus that can infect other people through unseen particles in the air, sometimes for hours after the sick person has left the area! Masks and clean, ventilated air can reduce the risk of getting sick from airborne viruses or infecting others.

"There's Nothing I Enjoy More Than Acting In The Theater" - Ian McKellen EXTENDED INTERVIEW
"There's Nothing I Enjoy More Than Acting In The Theater" - Ian McKellen EXTENDED INTERVIEW YouTube video by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

I’m having a hard time thinking of an interview between two human beings I enjoyed more than tonight’s interview of the great Ian McKellen by the great Stephen Colbert. Every moment of it was a pleasure that I highly recommend… but then came the most REMARKABLE ending that you really HAVE to watch.

The idea that Health Canada would reduce our drug approval process to one that just rubber stamps the approvals given by the US FDA and European Medicines Agency just to save money is irresponsible and dangerous to the safety and wellbeing of all Canadians.

It would be super great if official organizations like the Ontario Provincial Police could communicate travel advisory information via, oh, I don’t know, a WEBSITE, instead of only using Meta and X platforms!

Apparently I'm doing this -- my open letter to that open latter about AI in writing and publishing. I emerged from Hibernation Week to write it, so god only knows how much sense it makes. But at least a human wrote it, so that's nice.

I understand. I was just trying to put myself in the shoes of a minimizer and had hoped it would tell me to wear a respirator in any medical setting! I couldn't get the Option B section to work on my phone.

I just tried it. Said I worked in a Healthcare setting (I don't), selected Risk 1 because it's just a dr's office, right? Most patients aren't coughing so I picked level 1 & I guess our building is moderately ventilated. No protection necessary. I was right to have left my mask at home all this time

Media is reporting that #COP30 delegates are appropriately questioning Canada’s commitments to #ClimateAction.

To be clear, we can’t do nation-building, we can’t grow and diversify the Canadian economy and global relationships, and we can’t make Canada strong, if we don’t lead on #ClimateChange.
