We have contacted the Women and Equalities Committee, the Joint Human Rights Committee, and the Minister for Women and Equalities, Bridget Phillipson, to bring to their attention our complaint to the EHRC regarding the conduct of the anti-rights group Sex Matters.
WHY ARE WE PROTESTING? In April 2025, the UK Supreme Court ruled that gendered terms such as "man", "woman" and "sex" used in the Equality Act refer to binarist and undefined ideas of "biological sex". This legally states that trans+ people are not the gender they identify as, enabling anti- trans ideologues to exclude trans people from spaces which align with their gender- spaces which are necessary to ensure safety for trans lives. It has also spurred the anti trans lobby to launch greater attacks on trans rights. Examples Include: Rushed "legal guidance" from the EHRC which violated the human rights act and was branded unworkable by over 650 businesses Legal threats from so called "feminist" anti- trans lobbyists causing women's organisations such as Girl Guides to ban transgender members or face shutting down Legal challenges to the presence of trans women in women's spaces which have been defeated in court; proving that the ruling which was supposed to bring "clarity" is nonsense Increased attacks on trans healthcare: anti- trans campaigners have called for medical trials for under- 18 trans healthcare to be stopped, despite initially claiming that "evidence based treatment" was what they wanted All lifesaving medical transition for under 18s has been stopped. The NHS is currently reviewing the provision of medical transition for 18-25s. That is a strong point. I would add, however, that it is not merely European norms at play.

My daughter has met incredible Trans people just living their best lives. She has met artists & actors, poets & pilots, gardeners, dentists & doctors, writers & racing car drivers. This generation of Trans youth, unlike those who came before, have had visible Trans role models. They see people like them on the front of magazines, on television, TikTok & YouTube. They've had the joy of growing up with visible & passionate advocates to learn from and to stand on the shoulders of
I have hope for this generation of UK Trans youth whether those like our daughter supported throughout childhood, those who found belonging in chosen community, & those youth who who have survived in the face of the very hardest challenges. They are educated. They are powerful & They will win out.
Our daughter has been out as Trans to us for a decade. In spite of an increasingly hostile media environment, & in spite of politicians who have cruelly restricted her freedoms, her equality, & her access to healthcare, she is thriving. She is loved by her family & by her friends #Transkidsliving

Good afternoon - We are reporting on Trans Pride Scotland today.
The march begins at the Scottish Parliament in a few minutes (at 12:30) - so far, around 100-200 people have turned up for Trans Pride Scotland.
I don’t love being in a society where you can sell enough pillows to do meaningful damage to democracy or sell enough children’s books to do a genocide or sell enough chicken sandwiches to abolish gay marriage
That all seems like a ridiculous way to do society to me
Recently a UK trans healthcare Priority Setting exercise was conducted for trans healthcare for children & adults under 25(!) that DOES NOT have my trust & that I will not engage with.
A completely separate exercise has now started that I have much more confidence in...
