there is literally one proven policy to reduce traffic congestion long-term.

it’s congestion pricing. and Trump just spent a whole year trying to illegally scrap it in New York City

Think of it this way: using ChatGPT is like employing a scheming eunuch whose obsequious lies will make your life difficult and embarrassing.

When we take back power, I do not want unity or healing, I want revenge.

I also don't want a lecture on "but that's just like Trump, he wanted revenge." He was wrong, we are right. It's different. Get a moral compass.

Revenge or sit down. Call it "justice" if you must, it's that too.

From Clickhole's "Incredible! We Asked These Astronauts What It’s Like To Be In Space," Barry Wilmore: You never know true beauty until you see Earth from space, or true terror until you hear someone knocking on the space station door from outside. You look through the porthole and see an astronaut, but all your crew is inside and accounted for. You use the comm to ask who it is and he says he’s Ramirez returning from a repair mission, but Ramirez is sitting right next to you in the command module and he’s just as confused as you are. When you tell the guy this over the radio he starts banging on the door louder and harder, begging you to let him in, saying he’s the real Ramirez. Meanwhile, the Ramirez inside with you is pleading to keep the airlock shut. It really puts life on Earth into perspective.

Have been thinking about this story all weekend – and considering how wonderfully radical it would be if millions of people took this seriously:

"Perhaps consuming a few dozen book pages a day should become the new 10,000 daily steps — a basic foundation of activity to maintain cognitive fitness."

I’m done ceding my brain — the core of all that makes me who I am — to the financial interests of a small number of technology billionaires or the shortsighted conveniences of hyperactive communication styles. It’s time to move past fretting about our slide into the cognitive shallows and decide to actually do something about it.

There's a hauntingly beautiful irony in these morons thinking that carefully crafted American hegemony was actually weak and woke, and they would be the ones who would do Power and Dominance properly, and immediately bringing everything crashing down

The thing that would rock about a general Clive Barker universe TV show is that while King's works are full of references, and obviously tie together in DARK TOWER, Barker's always been one to sign off on explicit crossovers. SCARLET GOSPELS, HELLRAISER/NIGHTBREED, NIGHTBREED VS. RAWHEAD REX, etc.

Digital illustration in ink and color style. A hippopotamus standing on a low hillock. He has the wings and engines of a biplane strapped to his flanks. The propellers are spinning and he's wearing goggles. Sitting on top of the upper wing in front of a control stick is a capybara wearing a white silk scarf that's flapping in th breeze, a leather old-timey aviator helmet and goggles. Just two aquatic mammals who are friends taking to the air. Arcing agains the blue sky and clouds of the background is lettering reading 'Maybe it will happen today'.
