After 3 inspiring years of work, the @ipbes.bsky.social-Transformative Change assessment is finally out. Transformative change for biodiversity is urgent, necessary, challenging - but possible! Reconnecting people & nature through biocultural conservation approaches is a key strategy. www.ipbes.net
Enjoying Australian landscape and nature .... Waribee zoo today ....west of Melbourne!

Happily! We had lunch but will meet again
The SPM figure drawn from Ch4 of the Transformative Change Assessment - it is a wheel, with the central views/structures/practices that need to be changed at the center, a ring of underlying causes of biodiversity loss and nature's decline around the center, another ring of five challenges to transformative change, and outside the 20 barriers that emerge from these challenges.
Also note, the challenges loosely line up with the most salient underlying causes of biodiversity loss and natureβs decline.
Say that again please
Thank you - will search for the book.....
Well deserved!!!!!!
State of affairs ...#Ipbes11 ...
Has anyone here read this book? Any hints if it is well written?
#Ipbes11 is in full steam.... Working full days with the amazing colleagues of the #TransformstiveChangeAssessment - send us positive energy ....
We start now with the 11th Plenary of IPBES - more critical than ever to bridge science with policy to deal with biodiversity loss - and I could not have done it without my amazing co-CLAs Sergio Lambertucci and Ed Carr and the fantastic team of chapter 4 - we are gearing up #IPBES11
Starting of the #IPBES11 plenary in Windhoek/Namimbia, where we will negotiate the #TransformativeChangeAssessment - a three year long assessment focusing on the principles, visions, theories, challenges and pathways for transformative change to live in harmony with nature
Traveling to Namimbia through Rome and then Adis Ababa .... Feeling very anxious when traveling and guilty for taking flights ...the reason? #IPBES11
The #nature in our @utrechtuniversity.bsky.social campus is so beautiful ... The winter colours, the leaves...preparing us for the season
My computer crashed on Monday night - I spent all day yesterday working on my cell, calling IT with no progress... Today heading to IT to see what can be done as - computer dead or alive - ...the worst timing ever? Yes, 70 assignments to grade and traveling in three days to #ipbes11
What about professional jealousy .... Is there any equivalent to limerence? I will search for limerence as well.... I learnt a new thing today, thank you!
Do we write here when we also have bad days? How do you deal with ... jealousy? like...yellow face situations but with being alive not dead
...surrounded by talented (passionate and good) people...I think we need to write that one @utrechtuniversity.bsky.social #PathwaystoSustainability
Being part of a community is what gives me hope - and our @utrechtuniversity.bsky.social #sustainability community of #PathwaystoSustainability is dynamic, growing and with passionate ideas to make positive change for people and planet - grateful and hopeful!
Enjoy the weekend! Let's use our imagination for better cities, better connections with our communities and our collective futures! At #Utrecht
...passion for #sustainability... A strong and committed community #PathwaystoSustainability conferencing today @utrechtuniversity.bsky.social
