'Overall, the study finds that 84 per cent of the public have at least some trust in science, and only 2 per cent don’t trust it at all. But while 34 per cent of the public say they trust science a lot, this figure has fallen from 63 per cent in 2020.' 1/3

North Wales Police join female running groups to tackle street harassment More than half of female runners in the UK have experienced harassment or abuse, research shows.

The women's running group I run with had glass bottles thrown at us by a group of young men when we were running after dark a couple of weeks ago. It really shook me. Police Scotland were not terribly helpful, so it's good to see other forces being more proactive www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Linked to this, I can't understand why PURE profiles aren't able to be moved across institutions (or just be cross-institutional for subscribers). I spent a lot of investment in updating my PURE profile, only to move institutions and lose all that data (particularly around conferences and PIE).

Completely agree with this.

It is both anathema to what Labour should be and to Labour’s own voter base.
